Whirlpool LHW0050P doesnt spin now after repairing drain leak

Need mucho helpo please.
this is in re: to a fairly new used Whirlpool LHW0050P front loader
washer.
I purchased a used washing machine. When I inspected it, it was
working fine. When I purchased it later, it had been in storage
during Jan, when we had single digit temps.

I ran the first load.
It filled with water, it agitated, and when it went to drain, it
drained all over my floor.

A litte investigation revealed a drain pipe, that was like thick white
plumbers pipe had cracked. My theory that the unit was not completely
drained before storage, it froze and expanded and cracked.

My husband and I removed the piece, and repaired it, and placed it
back together, and wonderful, no more leaks. It runs great -- with the
exception it doesnt spin or agitate. it fills with water, it sets, and
it drains.

I figure something got knocked over, unplugged or something in the
lifting and pushing and pulling to to get this one peice repaired.
however, i cant find anything wrong. everything is clean and looks
connected. the belt is tight and intact. the motor simply isnt
moving.

After much research I can see these are pieces of poop, however, I
have forked out seventy five dollars. Ill never get my money back, and
im on a budget and cant very well go buy a new one.
I need to make ths work if possible.

There is a diagnositic test on here, if i place it in a certain mode,
and hold a certain button... i have run the diagnositic test and of
course, it didnt spin or agigate, so it failed those tests, but at one
particular test, the led light landed on wash. i think that means
something...the diagnostic manual i have explains how to d the test,
what to check after the test, but it doesnt tell you what the code
will or will not say, other than when you are done, one light will
deactivate.
So please, i welcome every ones suggestion or response.
thanks.

You should recheck the wireing as you described in your problem and make sure that the water didn't short anything out. If not you should check the motor, motor coupler, the timer, or the start motor capacitor.

First check is the standpipe drain. The hose that comes from washer should not be inserted more than 4". More than that can cause a syphoning situation that can cause leaks from beneath. If that seems okay you will have to see where water is coming from by observing the machine in action with back or bottom service panel removed (if it has one.)

Water filling up slowly in the tub

The problem can actually be caused by the water inlet valve leaking by, or a faulty pressure switch. Both are fairly simple to replace. The following link explains how to diagnose the problem:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3753262-front_load_washer_fills_when_not_in_use

I have included steps on how to replace both parts, and web resources to search for replacements. If the model number is correct, the replacement part numbers you may need are:

Water Inlet Valve - 8181694
Pressure Switch - 8181695

If you have any questions about this repair, please post back and let me know. I hope this helps you.

As I understand, when you order the door boot, an instruction paper comes with it. I have done it but each model and make is different. I would research the net also.

Duet Washing Machine spin cycle is spinning slow

make sure u are not under loading the washer with just one or two items and that the load is fairly balanced or else the machine will not go into high speed spin as to not go completely off balance and walk across your floor if that doesnt fix it you might need a new ccu or motor control board probably the second one and make sure u are using HE detergent and not too much because suds will lock the pump up which will not spin with water in the unit
