Canon ip3300 printer

My printer is not working, the orange light is flashing 5 times then stops for a second then flashes 5 times again, over and over again.
I don't know what the problem is.
If you could help me that would be greatly appreciated!

Yes the same proble here - green light followed by 5 flashes of orange light - then sequence is repeated- pulled unit appart checked internals, no paper jam and all sensors appeared to be working. The printer only had less than 200 pages use and is in as new condition - but outside warranty period. Shame to though it out. Authorised Canon dealer could not help - and did not know how [if possible] to reset the control board. They thought it may be a paper feed/delivery problem. So I inserted a sigle sheet of paper and manualy turned the rollers to push it half way through the machine while the unit was turned off. When I turned on the printer it automatically cleared the paper as it should and returned to the - no printy status; one green followed by 5 orange flashes. Anyone with more info or solution would be appreciated. cosmos -2

I fixed mine just last night, with the same symptom.

This is not an easy fix, but it is FREE!!!

On the bottom of the printer, on the inside of the case, there is an optical sensor that reads the positions of the roller going to the feed tray. I found ink had blocked that sensor, and was causing the error.

Getting to that sensor is not for a novice. Getting into the case is the most technical part.
Find the "arrow" points. These are points on the printer that indicate the release points for the outer shell. There are triangle "arrows" pointed at small, or large "slots" that if a small flat blade screwdriver is inserted, will release the covers.
Find the first under the carriage cover, at the left and right sides. A 1/4" by 3/8" cutout in the top of the black horizontal surface, about 4" from the center to the left and right, and about 2" back from the front. Insert a flat screwdriver, and rotate the screwdriver handle toward the center of the printer to release A PORTION of the left and right side covers. Note the triangle arrows. Now find the others!!!
Happy hunting! If you get the covers off, write back, and I'll tell you how to find the clogged sensor.

Dear Sir, I succeeded to remove the carriage cover and to get into the printer case, and I am waiting you to tell where is the clogged sensor.

My printer flash green then oranfe and again and

5 times says the feed roller is not turning properly, sometimes the gears break and other times something falls in the back and stops the roller from turning. It's a different error if the orange flashes 5 times, or if it flashes orange and green 5 times.
