Question about Sony Audio Players & Recorders
If there is a CD stuck inside, try unplugging power cord for five minutes, and then pressing repeteadly the eject button right when you are restarting the unit.
Do it a couple of times, if that does not work you will need to take apart the unit to remove the jammed disk or to fix the mechanical fault on CD tray gears. In that case consider also calling support.

Tips for a great answer:
get another basic mono stereo amplifier to power the centre speaker on its own however
if your main amplifier does not have a pre out connector for a centre speaker
you will have to change the volume independently on both amplifiers
