Question about Fujitsu AMILO D-8820 Notebook

Open Question

On switch on (FujitsuM1437G) loads normaly but then goes into horizontal and vertical lines much like interference but with a regular pattern. The desktop display is ok underneath these broken black thick and thin lines.Then it just goes black and sulks until the battery is disconned and refited. At first you could tap the keyboard and correct the fault. I removed the keyboard and washed it with soap and water,dried it then put it back. A lot of "mange"came out from the keys! This did nothing to correct the fault so I took the whole computer to bits and did a "graze" with my pyropen on all the joints I could see specialy the earth.One thing I did notice was that all the heat synch compound had dried up on the vga and driver chips.Having put it all back together again including new "chip chease"on switch on it now stays on but it still has parasitic linear lines.   1. Open the printer driver setup window
  2. Click Custom Settings on the Maintenance tabThe Custom Settings dialog box opens.
  3. Switch head alignment to manual
    Check the Align heads manually check box.

I'm back again after about a month away. Back to my problem, horizontal lines and/or interference make watching my Samsung 52" flatscreen impossible. TV is 5 years old. A limited time recall has passe


The TCON board can give you both Horizontal and Vertical lines, it is real easy to fix and fairly cheap. The most I have had to pay for any TCON board has been $45 plus shipping. Mostly what goes bad on these boards are the IC, a part that costs around $5.00 but requires micro-soldiering experience and tools.

Headlamp Adjustment
Headlamp Aiming
  1. The headlamp aiming procedure depends on what type of beam pattern the headlamp is equipped with. Vehicles may come equipped with visual optical left (VOL), visual optical right (VOR) or SAE only (includes sealed beam type) headlamps. To identify the headlamp beam pattern, look on the headlamp lens. Molded in small letters on the headlamp lens is 1 of the following:
    • SAE
    • VOL and SAE
    • VOR and SAE
  1. Once the headlamp beam pattern is identified, aim the headlamps using 1 of the following methods as applicable.
    • Photometric aimers can aim VOL-, VOR- and SAE-type headlamps only. This is the preferred method of headlamp aiming.
    • Visual or screen method aiming can be used to aim VOL-, VOR- and SAE-type headlamps only.
    • Mechanical aimers cannot be used with VOR- or VOL-type headlamps. Aerodynamic lamps that can be aimed mechanically have 3 nibs molded into the lens of the lamp.
    • Photometric Aiming
      1. For the photometric aiming procedure, refer to the appropriate photometric headlamp aimer instruction manual.

        1. On the wall or screen, locate the high intensity area of the beam pattern. Place the left edge of the high intensity zone even with the vertical line corresponding to the headlamp being adjusted.

Im seeing duble words,how can i fix it?


Hi,
There should be a convergence adjustment on this set. It will have a "cross hair" type pattern
You adjust the beams so that the cross hairs turn white. I believe Green is not adjustable intentionally. The procedure is to adjust the vertical Red line until it alligns with the Green line. Then adjust the vertical Blue line until it lines up with the Red and Green. The line should turn White.
Repeat the procedure for the horizontal lines. When you return to regular viewing mode the double
images should be greatly reduced or eliminated..

I just installed the right head light on a 2000 f250. I'm trying to find the specifications on distance and height of the light beams, L &R when adjusting the lights.

there are little screws with hex head or torz head. one for lateral, one for up/down.
shine on garage door.

Here's a solution from Canon USA:

Issue: Banded or streaked prints
Solution: Print Head Alignment MP530

Perform Print Head Alignment Instructions to perform a Print Head Alignment directly from the machine. If diagrams or ruled lines are misaligned, print head alignment is required. The print head alignment can be performed automatically or manually. If the automatic print head alignment does not work, adjust the print head manually. Automatic Print Head Alignment
  1. Press <ON/OFF> to turn on the machine.

  2. Load a few sheets of letter-sized plain paper in the auto sheet feeder.

  3. Press the Open button to open the Paper Output Tray. Then open up and set the extension by pressing down the hollow on the front side.

  4. Execute automatic print head alignment.
    1. Press <COPY> button.
    2. Press <Menu> repeatedly to select [MAINTENACE].
    3. Press the left or right cursor to select [AUTO HEAD ALIGN], then press the <OK>. (A pattern is printed and the print head is automatically aligned. It takes about five minutes to finish printing the pattern.)

Manual print head alignment
  1. Press <ON/OFF> to turn on the machine.

  2. Load two sheets of Letter-sized plain paper in the auto sheet feeder or cassette.

  3. Ensure that the proper paper source is selected.

  4. Execute manual print head alignment.
    1. Press <Menu> repeatedly to select [MAINTENACE].
    2. Press the left or right cursor to select [ALIGN PRINT HEAD], then press the <OK>. (The nozzle check pattern is printed.)

  5. Check the printed patterns and use the left or right arrow to input the number of the pattern in column A that has the least noticeable streaks.

  6. Press <OK> to move the cursor to column B, and then use the left or right arrow to input the number of the pattern that has the least noticeable streaks.

  7. Repeat the procedure until you finish inputting the pattern number for column P.
