Question about MSI GeForce® 7300 LE, PCI Express Graphic Card

1 Answer

HP Pavilion s3050.uk graphic card overheating & black screen

Whilst playing warcraft my screen would go black for a few seconds then return until finally would stay black.
Upon opening casing I notice my graphic card fan is not working and therefore over heating. I have tried to get a new graphics card but am under the impression that these have been discontinued (according to one expert).
If anyone can point me in the direction of a supplier of either the same card or one of a little better qualilty without costing me an arm and a leg I would be grateful.
System info states: 64 MB DDR Memory
1/0 Ports: DVI, S-Video VGA
Geforce 7300 le
(I hope this helps)

Many thanks :)

Your card is available at Newegg.com gforce 7300le for $70.     Any PCIe 16 card wil fit you computer just make sure that you have a large enough power supply to handle a card that would use more power.

It's possible that your video card is overheating, or broken. This can sometimes be fixed, but not always. If you are willing to spend a few dollars at a local computer/office supply store for a can of pressurized air, you can open your computer and use the pressurized air to forcefully blow all of the dust out of the video card cooling fan. Dust buildup frequently causes overheating in older cards, like you GeForce 6200.
Also, you will want to use the real canned air product. A vacuum seems like it would work, but creates dangerous static electricity that can fry the fragile electrical systems in your computer.
Good luck!

Check the radiator cooling, it is possible in the dust and graphics card is overheating.
But if the problem only with this game.

Screen goes blank for a few seconds, i get an error from vpu rec.

Hey,

I'm sorry the video card has a hardware problem, have you overclocked it?

the card froze and stoped responding to the commands from the driver. so it had to reset.

This can happen if the card is damaged, by overclock, or the clocks are too high, voltage too low or too high, this is all related to overclocking.

But this can also be caused by overheating.

did you try reinstalling the graphics driver? Try to update to the latest driver. if you have an overclocking tweak, disable the tweak and try.
