same thing, it's only 9 months old. The water goes down just a bit, then I get the beeping signal it's done, yet there's most of the water left. I ran vinegar in twice with no luck.

If the water is not coming out of the filter basket, and is instead leaking over the edges, then replace the brew basket.

If there is no water at all, call Cuisinart - those coffee makers have a 3-year warranty.

Some products, when refurbished, are almost BETTER than new. Coffeemakers and TV's, unfortunately, do not belong to that group. From what I have seen, refurbished Cusinarts are too expensive - there is usually at least one store that has a new Cuisinart for only $10 more than a refurbished one (although this may take some searching).

Based on your symptoms, I have a couple more ideas:

    1) Let about 2 cups of distilled white vinegar sit in the water reservoir for about 20 minutes. Then press the on button - wait about 1 minute, and turn it off. Let the vinegar sit for another 20 minutes. Add 2 cups water. Then try brewing one more time.

    2) If that fails, you could actually have a busted hose inside. Since the unit is out of warranty, you could actually open it, see if there is a loose or damaged hose inside (most likely it won't be the original hose, since the unit was refurbished). You could go to a small appliance repair shop (or even Lowe's or Ace Hardware) and find a hose or other materials you need to replace the hose and/or get the loose hose to stay in place. You won't find this specific model #, but there are actually videos on YouTube that show you how to replace a hose.

    Good luck!

This coffee maker (10 c maker with grinder) beeps it's done every few minutes with water left. we have to brew about 5 times for a full pot, what gives?

Presume this is the Grind & Brew Thermal™ 10-Cup Automatic Coffeemaker, Model # DGB-600BCC

An instruction booklet is available here: http://www.cuisinart.ca/pdf/ibs/en/DGB-600BCC_en.pdf

Review the sections beginning on page 11 of the pdf on Turning Off the Grind Function (if not using the grind feature) and Making Coffee.

Make sure you are turning off the grind function if using preground coffee and that the reservoir lid is securely closed.

Check the Cups Setting button; is sounds like the 1-4 feature may be turned on.

you need to run a few pots of straight white vinegar through the machine to clean out the lime build up in the tubes. the first time you do it, after it starts to pump the water, shut it off for a few hours and let the vinegar sit in the tubes. after doing this run a few pots of cold water through before making coffee.

Cuisinart grind and brew

This happens when the machine needs cleaned. Fill coffee maker with white vineger instead of water. Turn grind off, make sure empty pot is in place. Brew a pot of hot vineger. Repeat. Brew a pot of hot water. Repeat. This process removes mineral buildups inside machine. If you have access to filtered water, start using that to brew your coffee. I do and probably do this process 1 per 6 weeks.

I have a automatic grind and brew. It will only brew a full pot of coffee if I turn it on four cups. That wasn't to bad but now Ihave to unplug it to get it to come on.

Unplug for 20 minutes to fully reset, then:
Cuisinart Coffeemaker Decalcification Process

Run 2 cups distilled white vinegar and 2 cups water through the system - brew it like it was regular coffee. Then run plain water through the coffemaker to rinse the vinegar out and make sure the decalcification was successful. Repeat as needed. Don't forget to remove the charcoal water filters first.
