Sorry, do you mean: from the wall, the phone is connected, then from the phone it connects to the computer?

-> Is the phone up and running?

If the phone is up and running, possibly the second port has not been enabled off the IP Telephone set.

-> Are other computers working in the same configuration?

-> What type of system is it? Mitel SX200ICP -or- 3300?

-> Is a static ip address required and is it programmed for static addresses?

The sequence should be cord from the wall to the lower socket on the phone, then another cord from the top socket of the phone to the the pc. If this is connecting to a 3300 controller you should not normally have static ip's and should be using DHCP so that the phones get the correct options for tftp etc.

Belkin g wireless router not able to connect or 192.168.2.1

u said u have static IP for ur internet. if these IP's are already assigned in ur computer, ur computer will not be able to accept an IP from the router. so u 1st u need to remove the IP's that are already assigned in the computer's LAN properties. keep the option as"obtain an IP address automatically". then u should be able to open the router set up page using 192.168.2.1

I am not able to ping the IP 192.168.0.1 of the SpeedStream 5100 Modem

Does the 5100b not have a "pingable" option? Or something about allowing WAN ping?
You might have to go into the advanced options or whatever to find the option to allow pings.

NBX 3000: Can't access WEB UI or Ping - System still up.

There is most likely another device on the network with the same IP as the phone system. You can check this by un plugging the link to the phone system (after hours of course) and then pinging the IP of the phone system. If you get a reply while the link is disconnected then you know there is a duplicate IP on the network. You can use your server to try to identify the device or use a IP scanner like NetScanTools to ID it. You could also try changing the IP address of the phone system and see if you have the same problem.
