Sorry, but your answer is not good. I live in the UK and if I thought that that was the solution, just to call Minolta, then I would have done it. I am not stupid. I have paid for a good answer and I do not have it. Please send me a better explanation. I paid for a good answer not for someone to send me to USA to solve my problem.

Try reinstalling in this way:

Remove all toner cartridges.

Unplug the printer for five minutes.

Plug back.

Start and complete toner setup procedure by putting all toners back in place.

If that does not work , one of the toner sensors can be dirty with residual toner, clean your printer following suggestion below:

Hi im josh in cebu phils. just try my solutions it will help you.
.tt1 {font-size: 10pt;} Printers are mechanical devices with lots of moving parts. And any time you have moving parts, you have something that can break or wear out over time.
So when you click the old print button and nothing happens, what are the likely causes?
First, you might have the wrong printer driver installed in Windows. You might have either simply selected the wrong driver for your printer, or Windows might have mistaken your printer for another model, or the driver selected might be out of date. While we're in this area, it's also possible that various aspects of your printer setup might be incorrect, which can cause some highly unusual problems. You should also check your font setup because fonts themselves can cause perplexing problems if they're not installed correctly.
In addition, any new input or output device you've installed since you installed your main printer could have changed your printer's settings. (It's kind of like the last device installed gets dibs on key system settings.) If you've recently added a scanner or a digital camera or fax software or anything like that and then experienced printer problems, try uninstalling your printer (and all printer drivers) and then reinstalling your printer so that your printer is now the last device installed—and thus controls key system settings.
It's also possible that if you're printing large or graphically complex documents, you might not have enough disk space or memory to print. Make sure that you have plenty of both, because Windows needs all the space it can get to complete the printing operation.
Finally, you could have real printer hardware problems. These problems range from the mundane (you're out of paper, you forgot to turn on the printer, a cable came loose) to the fairly serious (your printer is broken!). Check all your cables and connections and make sure that your printer is actually turned on.
The bottom line is there are a lot of things you need to check if you have printer problems, both hardware- and software-related. So if you have printing problems, hunker down and plow through the problems/solutions section, coming up next.

Call Minolta about this

I believe there may even be a two year warranty on these, but they have good tech support themselves and you have a hardware failure it sounds like possibly or a counter that needs to be reset.

Well, I would clean the contacts on the cartridges and on the device, uninstall, unplug, and then reinstall the device, but this isn't a very common problem around me and so I don't know much about it so I suggested contacting them directly to see if they have seen this problem and could find a solution. They might not even be able to but I thought that would be the fastest way especially since they may repair for free.

Remove the toner and check out is the toner got empty.if yes.it needs to be refilled or replaced.

remove the toner out of your printer.and shake the toner for couple of minutes and reinsert the toner and check out is the error showing or its working.also the toner which you get free with the new printer does give much printouts as its indrodutory toner.and gives very less printouts.so it gets empty very early.in thios case the toner has to be replaced as that new orignal toner will give three time more printouts that the 1 which you get free along with new printer.

I have a Konica Minolta Magicolor 1650en. When replacing color toner, I managed to install magenta and yellow, following menu prompts, but when I try to install Cyan, the cartridge doesn't...

I had a similar problem in that after changing one of the cartridges (I bought a whole set), the message "cannot rotate cartridge" appeared. I tried pressing the cartridge in more firmly and may have caused the carousel to rotate a little in the process. I cycled the power which seemed to clear the error message and allowed me to select the next cartridge to change, but upon opening the door to change it, was unable to remove the old one as it was positioned a little too high. I eventually cleared the problem by manually rotating the carousel by pressing in and holding the carousel release (see arrow) mmgazette.jpgwhile rotating the carousel downward slightly, to line the cartridge up as it appears in this picture. Then powered it back up and was able to do the normal cartridge replacement procedure for the remaining cartridges without further error messages.

Drum light flashes

This means that you will need to replace the drum soon. Order a new drum and when the light becomes steady or the print quality becomes poor, replace the drum. The drum should last ~12,000 pages. The part number is DR350. You may be able to order this from your Office Supply store; otherwise try the Brother Mall site: http://www.brothermall.com/Accessories/AccessoryDetail.aspx?AccessID=DR350&AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1 .

The procedure is similar to replacing the toner but instead of putting a new thing of toner inside the drum, you remove the toner and put it in the new drum. Open the front cover and pull out the drum and toner assembly. Place on newspaper or other disposable material (toner may spill). Push down the blue lever to unlock the toner cartridge. Remove the cartridge from the drum. Unpack the new drum (keep it out of the light until ready to replace the drum). Push the toner cartridge into the new drum until it locks into place; the blue lever should lift automatically. Put the assembly back in the printer. Clean the printer as recommended in the manual while it is open; this includes cleaning the corona wire before replacing the drum assembly.

After replacing the drum, reset the drum counter: with the printer on and the drum light blinking, open the front cover and press and hold the GO button until all of the LEDs light up (about 4 seconds). Then release the GO button and close the cover. Check that the drum light is off. (The manual says you should do the reset first but I tend to avoid this in case of distractions.)

I hope this helps.

When replacing the toner cartridge in the Brother HL-2040 with a new cartridge (compatible or remanufactured) the user may experience a problem with the toner light staying on, even with the new toner installed. The procedure below has worked for many folks, so give it a shot.
Open the front cover of the Brother HL-2040 and leave open while completing the following steps:
1.) Turn the printer off.
2.) Hold the ‘go’ button while turning the printer on. All panel lights should be on.
3.) Release the ‘go’ button once all lights are off.
4. )Press the ‘go’ button 2 times.
5.) Pause.
6.) Press the ‘go’ button 5 times.
7.) The toner light should be off.
8.) The paper light should be on.
9.) Close cover. The ready light should be the only light on.
Once all steps are successfully completed your “low toner” light should be fixed.
