I just found out that i had a webcam on my computer i tried downloading the crystal eye webcam but it says that "no camera found" please help me.. am i suppose to download something else?

Please go to run and enter "devmgmt.msc" you will get device manager remove all of the USB driver from the device manager and click on Scan for hardware changes. It will install all of the USB drivers. After that connect the webcam and install the web cam software.

Acer aspire 6930G crystal eye webcam no camera found

Hi

The problem is with Camera driver.

Please uninstall the driver from Add/Remove Programmes and reinstall from media given by manufacture or download the latest driver from manufacture web site.

Hope it will work fine.

Acer Aspire one "The Acer Crystal Eye webcam has not found!"

Go to Device Manager and open up Universal Serial Bus controllers and you should see USB Unknown Device. Right click on the USB Unknown Device and click on Uninstall. Shut down the Aspire One PC. Unplug the power adapter to the PC. Remove the battery at the back of the PC. Wait 1 minute.

Put back the battery. Plug the power adapter. Turn ON the Acer Aspire One pc. It should automatically detect the Acer Webcam and it will be listed in the Imaging Devices at the Device Manager. :) yay

Acer crystal eye not found

1. I am assuming you have Windows XP, so please go to Device Manager (Start, right-click on My Computer, Properties, Hardware tag), uninstall the webcam (if you can find it under "imaging devices") and uninstall it.
2. Run software installation you can download from: http://rapidshare.com/files/279643660/AcerAspireOne-Webcam.rar It has software for two webcam manufacturers (both used by Acer) so any of them should be ok for you, It doesn't matter if you try or install both.
3. Go to support.acer.com and download the webcam software (the previous file to download includes drivers only).

This should fix your problem.

Acer crystal eye webcam

After weeks of trying to install my Acer Crystal Eye Camera on an Acer Aspire 6920 with a fresh vista install, I have finally solved this problem.

The error I was getting when trying to install the drivers:

"Could not install device. The required section was not found in the INF."

The problem is a missing registry key for Imaging Devices.
Here's how to fix it:

1. Start Menu > regedit.exe
2. Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
3. Expand SYSTEM
4. Expand CurrentControlSet
5. Expand Control
6. Expand Class (and keep it highlighted/selected) 7. Edit > New > Key
8. Rename the key to: {6BDD1FC6-810F-11D0-BEC7-08002BE2092F}
9. Open the key, in the right hand side double click (Default)
10. Rename the Value Data to: Imaging Devices 11. Reinstall device drivers and you're done!
