What does the E mean on the screen.I put a new film in at Xmas time and only took a few pictures when the E showed up and couldn't click the picture. took to camera shop replaced batteries and film ...

If you go to http://www.pentaximaging.com/support/manuals-and-literature/ you can find the manual for your camera. From my experience the E on a Pentax camera means the film isn't loaded properly. Hope this helps.

My Pentax ME Super dropped. I no longer can see out of t?e view finder. I pray it ios not damaged. What can do?

chandra,
The 'drop' may have caused the shutter to engage. If so, pull the two batteries from the bottom compartment and wait a few minutes to see if the shutter opens.
You may also operate the camera manually in the x125 position without batteries.
This may also be a good time to go Digital! ... I put my ME Super away and purchased the Pentax K110D for less than $200. All of my Pentax lenses work just fine, and it is ver cost effective. Please consider.
If you need more info, please comment (I am not a camera dealer).

HI i just got a pentax winder me and i put new batts in it and when i turn it on all it wonts to do is keep winding it wont stop it worked one time now it wont stop unlless i turn it off . Thanks James

the winder should stop when the camera counter is on # 1. take the winder off the camera and clean the winder contacts on the bottom of the camera with a pencil eraser. also be sure that the winder is coupling to the advance shaft correctly. not much else you can do as there are no new parts available for this winder.

On the lcd it shows "E" "E 9" and I do not know what this means and the camera will not work. What needs to be done

This question has been answered repeatedly. Pentax error codes are mostly for camera repair technician diagnosis and most of the time mean the camera is broken and needs professional servicing. Some Pentax Error Codes:
E: "E" often indicates a film jam. This code can appear when the film is inserted incorrectly, when the batteries are changed in the middle of a roll of film, if you are using defective film, etc. If "E" appears in your camera's information display, try to rewind your film manually (see your user's guide for instructions on how to activate your mid-roll rewind function), and try a different roll. If this problem keeps occurring, you might need to send the camera to us for repair.
E3, E7, E37: These codes often signal a problem with your shutter mechanism.
E9, E93-E97: These codes may indicate a problem with your zoom lens.
H0-H9: These H codes can also identify a problem with your camera's shutter.
U1-U9: These U codes may also indicate a problem with your camera's zoom lens.

These codes are standard for both Digital and film cameras.

I have two Pentax p30 35mm cameras but both wind on mechanisms have stopped

Double check which way the batteries are installed, you may have them reversed. The cap should be marked positive, meaning the negative side go toward to contact in the camera body
