Is Panasonic projector PT-LB20U compliant with HDCP?

Since the PT-LB20U only has VGA, S-video and composite video inputs, it isn't HDCP compliant. You would need a device with DVI (sometimes), HDMI, or DisplayPort inputs. See page 15 for the connections available on the projector.

Panasonic has the manual for the projector on the product page: http://shop.panasonic.com/support-only/PTLB20U-EC.html . The direct link to the manual is http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/PTLB20NTU.PDF .

I wish that I had better news for you.

Cindy Wells
(the high definition copy protection details require the digital video signal capabilities of the newer inputs. Most digital to analog converters (HDMI to VGA, for example) do not support HDCP.)

Missing red composite signal on panasonic pt-47wx52cf

Check your jacks and cables.

The RED jack is either (1) left or right channel AUDIO signal or (2) the RED color channel of an RGB (Red, Green, Blue) COMPONENT video signal.

Yellow is the COMPOSITE video signal.

Distorted picture.

Is the menu text clear on the screen, when it's focused correctly. Or is that also distorted.
If the menu text is OK then the picture signal is dodgy. could be due to a bad earth lead on the video cable.
Is it distorted on all signal inputs

Green Picture

The problem sounds like one I had. If so, the cause is as follows.

The Daewoo ouputs synchronisation information on the green channel of the RGB outputs (which are pins in the SCART socket) The Panasonic TV automatically preferentially selects the RGB input in the SCART rather than the composite video signal in the SCART. The video circuits in the Panasonic should ignore the sync on the green channel but instead interpret the sync as green signal information which means the adjustment of the green channel is upset leading to a very green picture.

Possible solutions:
1. From the TV, manually select composite video input, not RGB. This may not be possible - I think the TV automatically goes for the RGB if it is present.
2. Disconnect the wire to pin 16 in the SCART socket. This is the signal from the VCR/DVD to indicate that RGB is available. Disconnecting it means the TV defaults to the composite video. This is what I did.
3. Connect the TV to the VCR/DVD using component or S-VHS leads only.
