NO, I DID NOT GET IT FIXED. YOU TOLD ME TO SCAN SOMETHING TO THE PC, WHICH I DID. SENT PAGE TO MICROSOFT WORD AND THE BLACK LINE WAS STILL THERE. I BELIEVE MY SOLUTION IS TO JUNK THIS THING AND BUY ANOTHER.
Dear,
when drum clean blade is weak then strongly can not clean toner,so thick black line in all copies.
Solve: Replace clean blade or service. If your copier drum life is zero, you can change it.
This issue occurs if the scanner lamp is not getting enough voltage. make sure that the printer isn't connected to a surge protector, also you may try making a copy of any document. this will be a hardware test, a reset of the printer might resolve the concern. since the reset requires technical supervision,
does the line only show up when making copies from the adf or both when you put it on the glass. if only when thru the adf the **** glass is dirty. that is the glass that is only about an inch wide. be carefull of the two pieces of tape that are on both the front and back of that glass they fall off easly.
a simple solution would be to check the drum. Also try cleaning the charge cortron wire. Need more info about the copier. Are you using the document feeder or the making copies of the platen glass?
