Sound but no picture

We have a GE projection TV, model 46GW945. The picture is no longer working. The sound is still coming through, and the menu screens show up on the TV.

This happened once before and when I went to the menu screen and went into Screen / Adjust Projection TV, the picture suddenly came back on. That is not working this time.

I do not want to spend the money on a repairman if possible. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The first thing to check is the connections to your source. They can easily become loose and/or corroded over time.
