Question about Ovens
On our 22 month old Rangemaster Professional 110 gas cooker, we heard a loud shatter then the tinkling of glass as the pieces fell down inside the door. The oven had been used some 3 hours before. Any one know the reason for this, is it a manufacturer issue or just bad luck?
Thanks in anticipation.
I have an Indesit K3G2/G which I bought 16 months ago, I was using the oven the temperature of which was 210 it had been on for about 40mins I stepped out of the kitchen for a minute when I heard a noise like smashing glass so went into the kitchen to I check and the front pane of glass on the cooker was in a million pieces all over the kitchen floor the force that it must have come out with must have been pretty strong, I’m just gratefull that no-one was in the kitchen at the time imagine if a child had been in there it really doesn’t bear thinking about, I just spoke to Indesit an the customer service advisor said “it can happen” I wanted to say to her if the news had reported the serious injury of a child due to the this incident is that the official statement that Indesit would have give “it can happen”.
The problem is with the glass. They apparently did not use a strong enough tempered glass during manaufacture. I would call the company and tell them what has happened. They should replace it. It must have been a design flaw or something else. They should make it good. They may want to make a recall.
