SOURCE: Broken Handle on Coffee Grinder

Nice unit! Replace the part. Try www.smallappliance.com.

If you want to try to glue it first, get a product from 3 M. I think they call it super strength glue. Scrape off all traces of whatever you used before. Follow the instructions exactly.

SOURCE: Beans stick in hopper

The problem is that beans have particles and oil on/in them, jamming the switch which is giving you this message. Invert the unit on a hard surface covered with newspaper and give it a couple of strong taps against that surface. The junk should fall out and get you going again. Clearly, you're missing something when disassembling the unit.

Remove the brew unit and to the left of that is the the discharge area for the grinder, make sure that hole is clear, then adjust grind 1 number coarser, and check machine.

SOURCE: gaggia titanium coffee beans empty

Hi
If the big knob in the bean hopper is on a small #, that could be your problem. try opening the knob to the largest # and try again. If it clears and makes a cup, then on the next cup, while the grinder is operating turn the knob down again, but to a larger # than you had before. Grounds can get compacted in the chamber and prevent new grounds from entering. That is why it grinds but doesn't make a coffee. If that doesn't help, try opening the door above the brew unit funnel when the brew units is out. It should pull down on a hinge. This is the clicking you hear when you make a coffee.

How to fix Costa Gaggia LAMA/A coffee grinder?

It seems to be a strange make model combination. Gaggia is the maker, Costa Coffee is a shop franchise, no Lama or even Llamas :>D

Videos that should help. Strangely, the most common reason for burrs seizing is small stones the size of a coffee bean that get through production, nicely roasted and covered in coffee oils.

Hi, The machine is trying to grind beans then states that there are no beans, yet the bean holder is full. We have dismantled the holder and cleaned out the grinder block, it worked once or twice then...

IT could be that the grind is too fine and the grinder is being clogged with coffee, first try adjusting to a coarser grind at least 2 to 3 numbers, if coffee flows into the brew unit you are good to go if not, then grind chamber needs to be vac out and cleaned then adjust grind and start over.

I use an oily bean with my Gaggia Brera which has the integrated grinder on it. I know this may eventually clog up the grinder; and so, is there a way to clean the grinder without taking it apart? Is...

Oily beans means the coffee is old and/or over roasted. I reccomend using fresher beans. i recommend buying less coffee more often. i usually use a paper towel and wipe out the "hopper" where the beans sit.. hope that helps

How do you change the grind on a gaggia coffee grinder?

if it is everything in order you change the grind buy rolling the plastic container of coffee beans(container commands to upper burr holder. If it doesn't go easy than disassemble container and unscrew the upper burr holder, carefully when it comes out, you have some pins and springs from below. do not loose or displace them.

I have a Gaggia syncrony compact coffee machine and the coffee grinder has jammed for the second time. The repair agent employed by Gaggia inform me that they have been waiting for spare parts from Gaggia...

If the grinder jammed it might have been because the grind was too fine, try adjusting coarser then using the + or - lever to add more coffee for proper extraction. To clear jam remove brew unit and locate door to grinder chamber on left, vac out grounds, also beans in hopper. When clean run grinder and set to coarser, then add small amount of beans and test.

Gaggia Platinum Vogue Built in Grinder

Just use the whole bean. Using pre ground coffee through your grinder will screw the blades completely.
However if you have a decaff option that allows you to put coffee directly into the brewer that would be ok........just dont put it into your hopper that feeds the grinder.

Grinder is slipping.

  1. take out bean container
  2. disassemble 3 philips screws and take plastic out
  3. rotate the knob to try to get out the upper holder of burr. if it does not rotate than disasemble the knob and the gears(plastic big one is attached to upper holder of grinder, the other is together with knob.
  4. tru to rotate it manualy, with help of extra srews puted in gear holder holes.
  5. when you get it out, carefuly clean it, look for metal parts and stones(wich sometime comes with coffee)
  1. turn on the grinder and attach gently one marker to lower burr during spining. after you stop grinder, look if it is perfect circle marked in burr. if it is not than marked side is higher. you should consider getting it ok by putting adhesive paper under lower burr and check it again.
good luck and carefuly.
