If you cannot see anything looking through the view finder, that is either a lens problem, a defective view finder, or a faulty sensor.

For any of this faults you need a technician to fix the camera, call the Canon customer support number printed on camera documentation.

Try also removing the batteries and replacing with fresh ones, to exclude battery problem and to reset the camera, if there is really a fault this will not work, but you have to try.

Regarding the manual, you can download below.

My Camera just lost power, the lens is still stuck out, the battery was full when i used it, I also tried plugging in the charger now to see if it will restore power but it hasn't.. What should I do?

hi
usually camera doesn't lose power with lens stuck out, there must be external cause. But you should check first battery which actually is good or not.(using multimeter or to different camera that use same battery.) second with good battery is any light blinks momentarily. If any light blink then cause come from lens most case. But nothing happen then main pcb or power control pcb is the problem. Good luck with you!

My camera was working completely fine and then after taking a picture it just went black, lens out and not moving. so i plugged it into my computer, thinking maybe it needed to be charged, but got nothing....

Since this camera is fairly new, it may be worth your while to go to the http://www.nikon.com website and call the support repairs department. Even if the camera is not under warranty, you may be able to get repairs for little or nothing.
This may depend on if it is a common problem.
Before you call, make sure the battery is either new or charged fully.
If the camera has been dropped, accidentally got water inside, or other damage in most cases will void all kinds of warranties.
If the camera simply stopped working with full charge or new batteries, then you indeed should call Nikon.

the recommended battery that you can used on your camera is AA alkaline and also you may try 2AA Ni-MH. if you using a newly purchased the battery and you have a black screen, try to press menu if the options will not show up it means the LCD is defective., make sure that the lens is properly working and no cover on the lens of your camera., if still has black screen call kodak toll free 1 800 235 6325 your camera needs of service

Having same no reponse on new Olympus FE-3010

Unless it's a generic problem with this model. Lens out and not moving usually means it has been damaged by a knock or has grit/sand in it. When exactly did it stop working, you must know as the lens was out, hence it was on when it stopped working.

Dropped my camera in a pool of water in a glacier 12 months ago. I immediately took out the battery and memory card. I then spent 2 hours with a hair dryer drying the camera. Since then the camera has...

There is no relation between the two incidents that you explained. The recent problem might have occurred due to damaging of the lens. MY solution is to replace the objective lens ( lens assembly) and the motor ( if needed ). If it costs much, then go for a new one, since digital camera with high pixels rates are available cheaply now a days.

Cannot get Error to go away

If it's a D lens or similar, check that the lens is set to its minumum aperture (and locked) - ERR normally means that the lens is not at its minimum aperture.

If your lens is a G lens, then the camera is probably faulty.

Error

Here is where you can download a copy of the manual from:
Fuji S2 Manual
This is what the manual says about your error:
If FEE in in top display: "CPU Nikkor lens other than G-type
is not set to its minimum aperture. Fix: Set lens to minimum aperture."
If FEE is in viewfinder: "Attached flash is not set at TTL
Auto Flash in “P” mode. Fix: Set the external flash mode to TTL, or set the camera’s exposure mode to “S”, “A” or “M”."
Are you using a flash that attaches to the camera?
If not, then the problem is with the aperture setting. It looks like you would have to set the camera dial to M, for Manual, and use the ring on the lens to set the aperture.
The low battery symbol looks like a battery, all black when charged, half-black as power goes down.
This looks like a nice camera, hope I was able to help.

Shooting black frames only

assuming you have the exposure set correctly (if u set way underexpose, the frame will appear black). Try put it in "Auto" mode and see if it works.

If it doesn't, your mirror mechanism may be faulty. One way to check is to take a photo of 2 seconds or longer. Look into the viewfinder, can you see anything through the viewfinder during these 2 seconds?

Olympus stylus 800 lens problem

Fair reasoning but I suspect incorrect.
The screen remaining black- do you mean that it shows no menu item either? or are you getting those but no image? clarify.
If you are getting nothing- is there a hint of 'shadow' images but not illuminated?
It nothing at all then this is an indication of a connector/ main board failure.
Lens not appearing could be the drive motor has stalled.
But the two items together could also mean something much easier to resolve- The battery[s] is not delivering enough power.
Clean the battery contacts. Make sure it is of the correct value as in the manual - if you have replaced it recently .
If that fails it may be new camera time as the likely cost of a repair will be high.
