Vertigo 3D Words

On startup, Illustrator 7 (win),crashes with the dreaded kernell32 error, when
it tries to start the Vertigo 3D words plug in. The problem is NOT the
kernell32.dl, it is the plug in itself, since Illustrator is fine without the
plug in.

Does anyone have a solution which will let me use the plug in????
