I just bought a blackberry 7290 on ebay and when i got it, it didnt have all of the programs on it. i dont have brickbreaker or a browser. the lady that sold it to me said she didnt put everything on it cuz everyone likes to customize thier own phones. I went to the blackberry site and downloaded the desktop manager but when i hook up my phone and try to install the programs, the desktop manager says that it does not have software for the device. How can I find the software to put all the programs on my phone?

send yourself an email with a web site link. Click the link in the body of the message, and hopefully a web browser application will open up and take you there.
also, from the desktop of the blackberry, press "alt' and 'select' (select on the jog dial). you will see a 'show all' option. The web browsing icon may be "hidden".
It sounds like the device was originally activated and worked with a Blackberry enterprise Server, where the administrator had voice calls blocked for the users, so that they did not run up bills - in other words, it was programmed just to do email. If this is the situation, there may not be a solution available to you.
Call your phone carrier and ask them to help - make sure you have the correct "plan"...
