some dell built in webcams need sufficient light for them to turn on even when the program is open and trying to get the image. if it says camera is busy and no app is open using it try shining a light on to the camera lens.
Don't open two programs that uses webcam, for example: if you have skype application opened with video call you can use the webcam at yahoo messenger. make show application that requires one web cam features like video calling are online opened when needed. if the is a hidden program that you sure to have close it that is still in process, then open the task manager and click on applications, you will see and end it process there, if the problem persist then restart the computer.
Try to reinstall your webcam drivers. Go to acer.com, click on "united states", then click on "go". Click on service and support, then click on "driver download". Click "notebook", then "aspire", then "5610", and download all three camera drivers (about 100MB total). Install all three drivers.
click on your start button (usually the window logo on bottom left side of your screen)
then click on search then type webcam and press enter . you should get a list and you should be able to click on an item to open web cam. if this works i suggest to repaet theses steps but then copy and paste it somewhere easier to find.
hello there try uninstall your webcam from your control panel take all the sofware off ok,
then reinstall the software again and try it again
when your webcam says its busy then means that someother programe is using your webcam
have u any other website that u use or any other messenger u use if yes then go to that site and see if your webcam is active ok let me know how u get on and i will check out another way round it regards andy
I have found that if the webcam software has a program that automatically starts its own OEM program then you have to open that program and find the settings for turning it off or on. Two programs will not want to share a webcam.
