My itouch sat in coffee for a little while the other day, and so i heard to put it in a bag of rice. I did this for a week and it turns on! So the screen is crystal clear and everything but the touch screen part of it won't work. I am scared to take it in because i hear its around 200 to get it fixed! Help please!!! What should i do?

Put it in a zip locked bag of rice over night. Don't shake or jostle the bag, just leave it sitting on the bag with the device buried in the rice. After the rice "bath", if the device does not come back to life, connect it to your PC and see if it will at least give you the chance to do a backup.
You'll want to leave it off. This next part sounds weird but it does work sometimes. I learned it while working at RadioShack. Basically, you can just put it in a bag of rice, charging port facing down, and place this bag in the refrigerator for about 4-5 days. The rice absorbs water and it sounds a little crazy but it works about 70% of the time.
DO NOT turn it on, it will short circuit extremely sensitive circuitry inside your iTouch turning into a useless paperweight! Get a tupperware type of container big enough to put your iPod in and completely immerse it in DRY rice and seal it in there for at least a couple of days. The rice will absorb any and all moisture inside the container as well as inside your iPod. Online there is a place called Rapid Repair that specializes in iPod repairs. They will run a free diagnostic on your iTouch and tell you if it survived. Their web address is http://www.rapidrepair.com/. I hope that helps
to fix this, you're going to need your ipod, a plastic zip-lock bag, and uncooked rice. first, open the bag and fill it halfway with uncooked rice. then put your ipod in the middle of it all. then zip the bag and let it sit for about a day. the rice should have absorbed all the water by then. most of the times, this will work. but sometimes, the ipod is damaged beyond repair by the water. good luck
hope this helps ;-)
Ipon the ipods case up. then Put the ipod in a zip lock bag full of
uncooked raw white rice. seal the bag and leave it in there for 2 days.
rice absorbs water. it should dry it up.
dont try to plug the ipod in or it will fry the circuit and you will destroy it.
