Question about Casio Exilim EX-S880 Digital Camera
I used the camera a few weeks ago and it worked perfectly normally. I went to use it again two days ago and it simply would not turn on. I checked to see that the battery was placed in correctly and it was. After, I charged it and no matter how long it is in the dock, the red light blinks as if it is not charging at all. I tried different outlets. All have the same results. In the time between when it worked and when it did not, the camera was not exposed to water, heat or cold, and was not dropped. The warentee was still effective when it worked but ended literally 4 days ago...
The problem is the spring terminals inside the camera are not making good contact with the battery. I had to use a screw driver and gently push them to the left to make better contact with the battery terminals. There are three connections. I stress that you be gentle. This not the long term fix but you will be able to take pictures in the short term.
