Did the repairman clean the drain pump reservoir? Usually, this is an indication of either a clogged or failed drain pump. The following link explains how to check the drain pump:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r385845-checking_drain_pump_in_whirlpool_duet

It does not take much to cause irreparable damage to these small pumps. If anything was lodged in the drain pump reservoir for any significant period of time, it can cause damage to the pump motor and/or impeller. What this means is, the pump may appear to be running, but may not be pumping enough volume to avoid triggering the error code. If the error code does not go away following a thorough pump cleaning, it is recommended that you replace the drain pump. Please take a look at the link provided and let me know what you find. If you have questions, please let me know before you rate the solution so that I may assist you further.

If a repairman just worked on your washer, you may have some sort of warranty that go along with those repairs (depending on which company you went with). What this means is, if you are still experiencing problems associated to the original problem you had, and the repairs that were attempted did not correct the fault, the following repair should be free of charge. I can't guarantee this, but its something you may want to look into.

If you determine the pump is bad and wish to replace it on your own, I can give you advice on where to purchase a replacement, and how to perform the repairs on your own. I hope you find all this information helpful.

Other possible problems are:

  • bad electrical connections at the pump
  • check the drain pump filter for foreign objects
  • If these do not correct the problem, Whirlpool recommends replacing the pump
Hope this solves the problem for ya!

Its a common error,
Error message:Drain error, water can be not drained fully within the required drain time
Reason 1. Pump filter is blocked.
Solution 1. Please open and clean the pump filter. (Filter access door is on the bottom right, at floor level of the washing machine)

What do we do after replacing the pump on an LG frontload washing machin, yet still get error message OE?

Assuming you cleaned the pump strainer?

Likely the drain hose leading from the pump to the drain, the section

inside the cabinet that "u-turns" back down is plugged up with

junk.. I had to remove the hose from the machine and force water

thru it at a outside faucet to clear what looked like a turd from the

inside of the drain hose..My shop vac could not dislodge it..

My Miele G2430 dishwasher stops right after draining in the first minute or so after starting, and the intake and drain light comes on. The solenoid at the end of the intake hose then clicks and the light...

Hi

Intake/Drain light flashing means an issue while draining. The dishwasher is not draining properly. Please check for air gap on the dishwasher is not clogged. It prevents dishwasher from draining properly and sometimes the drain flow is restricted due to gunk. Cleaning or bypassing the air gap will resolve the issue. If this doesn't resolve the issue then it is due to seized (or stuck) drain pump. Keep handy large bowls and towels to soak the water out. Disconnect the power to the dishwasher or turn off the breaker to the dishwasher. Tip machine on its back; remove screws that hold the bottom tray on. Remove the hoses to the main motor, remove electrical connections and switch it on. If the error still appears then turn the rotary selector switch to "Stop/End" or press the "Start/Stop" switch for approx. 5 secs to cancel the error message. Switch the appliance off and then back on again. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Hi I am getting an error e14 message towards the end of my washing cycle and then it does not spin the load. I have a Bosch washing machine.

Hello,

There are several reasons that a washing machine won't drain or spin. The cause could be something as easy as a clog or something difficult that will need a licensed repairman. Start with the simplest possible cause and work down to the more difficult causes.

Challenging Instructions And Things You'll Need:
  • Screwdriver,Flashlight,Voltmeter,Wrenches,Bucket,Rags or mop.
  1. A washing machine won't spin if the water can't drain. Check hoses for any kinks or clogs that may prevent the water from draining. If a hose has kinks, try to straighten out the kinked hose. If it can't be straighten sufficiently, replace the hose. If hoses are not kinked, check for clogged hoses. This can be done by using the screwdrivers to remove the hoses and looking for clogs or running a water hose through the clogged hose to remove the clog. Use the rags and bucket to clean up the water that comes out of the hoses when they are disconnected. Once the clog is cleared, put the drain hose back into place. The washer should drain and spin now if a clogged or kinked hose was the problem.
  2. If the washer still won't drain or spin, check to see if the lid is not closing all the way or if the lid switch is not clicking into place. Close the lid and make sure that it closes all the way down. When the lid closes, the lid switch should click. If there is no clicking sound, then the switch may need to be replaced. Follow manufacturer's directions for replacing the switch. If the lid does not close all the way, visually check for signs that the lid is bent. If bent, try to bend it back into place.
  3. Loose or broken belts could also prevent a washing machine from draining or spinning. Pull the washer away from the wall and, using the screwdrivers and wrenches, remove the back panel. Using the flashlight, visually check for any broken or loose belts. Replace any broken or loose belts. Although replacing washing machine belts is difficult, anyone who has replaced belts on a car , lawn mower or even a bicycle chain should be able to accomplish the task.
  4. Another possibility for a washing machine to not spin or drain is the pump. With the back panel still off the washer, check the pump with the voltmeter to ensure that the pump is getting power. If the washer is getting power, turn on the washer and listen to find out if the pump is running but the water is still not draining. It may be necessary to remove the pump and clean it or to replace the pump with a new one. Once the pump is replaced, turn on the washer to determine if it will now drain and spin.
  5. If all of the above steps fail to produce a washing machine that drains or spins, then it is time to call a professional repairman. Use the screwdrivers and wrenches to replace the panel on the washer and push it back against the wall.
Hope this help?.
Thanks for using fixya.

Stops in cycle and says f 02

F02 error is related to drain pump block. If the drain pump gets blocked or the drain hose is blocked the error comes up,this is indication of cleaning the drain pump and drain hose.If the drain pump and drain hose checked ok then its faulty drain pump, its not draining the water so the error f-02 is showing up. error F-02 is a slow drain problem. Remove the wide tapering pipe from the drum to the pump. Inside there is a non return ball valve. Clean this and see if that helps. Take the front bottom panel off and open the drain trap, and see if there is any thing got stuck up,like coins, nails, socks or any small cloth etc etc.--------------While removing the drain pump and drain hose for cleaning, please keep thick towel with you.As you disconnect the drain pump from its connection, lot of water will flow towards you,if your machine is filled with water. So keeping this towel with you will help to control this water flow towards you. This should help.Thanks.Helpmech.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

OE is a drain error and is displayed when the washer is unable to drain water. As you have already checked the drain hose and it is clear so check the drain pump filter for any clogs to clean the error. If the problem is still there after cleaning then replacing the drain pump is recommended repair. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

My washer keeps getting an error message and keeps stopping. It does this part of the way through the cycle. DO you know what would cause this?

Hello,

There are several reasons that a washing machine won't drain or spin. The cause could be something as easy as a clog or something difficult that will need a licensed repairman. Start with the simplest possible cause and work down to the more difficult causes.

INSTRUCTION BELOW
  • A washing machine won't spin if the water can't drain. Check hoses for any kinks or clogs that may prevent the water from draining. If a hose has kinks, try to straighten out the kinked hose. NO DRAIN ''nd'' error MESSAGE

HI, check the following to address this issue.

    1. Clogged drain line or water pump
Check to see if there's something stuck inside the pump or the drain hose connected to the pump (pump is usually located at the bottom and towards the back of the washing machine).

    2. Water Pump
If the drain line isn't clogged, you may have a problem with the water pump such as a frozen pulley or a broken impeller. If that's the case replace the water pump. Note: if you have a belt driven washer, check the belt(s) for cracks, as this would be a perfect time to replace the belt(s) if needed.

**The most common issue will be an obstructed hose or, line
