Question about Maytag SkyBox MBV1976A Beverage Dispenser
I posted my problem early and it is the 2nd one from the bottom that is jamming up. Please email me @ firstname.lastname@example.org if you know how to repair it. and if you have a repair manual please email it to me. Thanks for your help.
You may not have a dispenser problem at all, but rather a build up of frost and ice. The evaporator is embedded in the interior wall directly behind the two middle dispensers. The dispenser effected most bt the ice build up is the second one from the bottom. Unplug the unit and leave the door open for 24 hours. Then plug it back in, reset your thermostat at the 11:00 position and close the door. If the problem is still present, the next step would be to remove the dispenser assembly and search carefully for a disc shaped magnet about the size og the leter "O" on your keyboard. There are 9 of these magnets in the SkyBox. The dispensing cylinder has one built in, as does the flap at the end of the dispensing row. When the cylinder moves to dispense a beverage, a reed switch detects the magnet. Next it looks for that flap at the end to open when the beverage falls down. Finally, as the beverage comes out in the door another reed switch detects the opening and closing of the flapper door. If the board does not see the signal from any of the reed switches, it assumes there is a product stuck someplace.
I hope this helps.
