Question about RCA F32650 32" TV

1 Answer

No channel below 7 when hooked direct to cable connection. Reset and auto program channels , only get 7 and up. This makes it unable to use VCR tuned to channel 4 or 3 . As well as not getting the lower channels.

I have an older emerson tv that I can not get to pick up channels above 36. It is pluged directly into my cable outlet. When I hook up another tv it will get around 90 channels. Is there a setting I can...

I doubt that there is a setting built or designed in your tv, older tv tuning systemslike yours were designed for what was back then available as far as channel capability(cable ready sets)what ypu can do is get a cable converter and get the channels thru the box or if you have a vcr hooked up you can always select channels thru te vcr tuner if the tuning system in the vcr is newer. thanks!

CANT GET CABLE CONNECTED RIGHT

Hook a VCR to it with a tape playing and make sure the VCR RF switch is set to channel 3. Then do the auto search. If it still does not find channel 3, then your TV has a bad tuning circuit.

It sets the channel according to the frequency they are on, If you don't have any channels below those numbers and are connected to Cable TV, you have a bad tuner

I have a jvc tv model av27530. Disconnected cable box b/c going

You probably have to find your original remote to the set and go through setup in your menu. On most sets, there will be a menu item which will allow you to switch from Cable mode to Air mode. If you have no Cable connected, then you must set tuner in Air mode.

If you are using an external device to run on channel three, then try this:
Make sure device (rather it's a vcr or game console), is hooked up to your Antenna Input connector. Also, some of these devices will have a small hidden switch on back that says 3 and 4. Move the switch to 3 position. Turn on device. Go into TV menu and do a Channel scan. This should auto program any device hooked up to the TV antenna input jack to channel three.

Keep in mind that you may not receive anything by Feburary of this year without an HD converter box to tune in channels with and outdoor antenna.

How do I connect an analog VCR + converter box to a digital TV?

first of all does your television and/or vcr have a cable connector and/or a set of rca outlets? if they have a cable connection in the back all you have to do is hook the cable from the antenna to the "in from antenna" on your cable box and then connect a cable from "out to tv" to "in from antenna" on the vcr and a cable from "out to tv" on the vcr to "in from antenna" on the tv. then you need to make sure on the converter box and the vcr and look for a channel selector and see what channel they are on. most vcr's have a selector for either channel 3 or 4, look at what channel it is set to and if your converter box has the same thing then match it with the vcr. then tune your tv to that channel and you should be able to work your vcr as long as the vcr/tv button shows that you are on the vcr. now if your tv and/or vcr have rca outlets and your converter box has the same then just hook the cable from the antenna to the cable box and substitute the rca cable for the regular cable and tune your tv to video or line input.

Cannot get local channels back after dropping cable.

Are you positive that your city has not done the Digital Conversion? Some Cities are doing it early before the February deadline. Also make sure you are tuning in to the correct channels. Meaning that if on your Cable Provider ABC was on Channel 3 that does not mean that ABC with still be on Channel 3 after you have your Cable turned off. Most of the Time the Local Stations Tag will let you know what channel its on. It will be something like "KWAS ABC 27" So on your TV you would Tune it to channel 27 to get ABC and the same fore NBC , FOX, CBS , etc...
I hope this helps Take Care =)

Television only locates 7 channels????!!!!!

Hi there!
If you cannot receive all channels it may be a fault with the antenna or the tuner may be faulty. If you have a VCR, you can tune that into the TV first and then tune the VCR to see if you then receive all channels. If so, use the VCR position on the TV to view and select or change channels on the VCR only. Good Luck,JUS004
