I have a galaxy 959 Cb radio.my question is is OK to hook it to my Italy rm7305 10 meter amp?would it improve my power and range???

It will improve your range in transmit but won't do much to help in receiving distant stations. It's also ******* to use an amplifier with CB radio's, so you really might want to think before you use your amp. Make sure that you have a power supply that is large enough to handle the current for both you amplifier and radio. Use #10 or #12 wire for the amp if you are pulling power from more than a couple of feet or so.

Not loud enough, is there anyway i can make it louder or do you guys have a website to buy parts?

We don't have any website here. CB radios typically do produce limited volume. If you have tried different external speakers already, and you are confident you have a good antenna setup, it seems you may need an amplifier. However consider all this first -

How do I increase power output for a cobra 148 gtl the latest Chinese version

best way is to leave the radio in piece and obtain a linear amplifier to do the job a 10 meter ham radio amplifier will do nicely but you must re-tune it for the 27 mhz band 10 meter band is 28 mhz.
RF amps work best using side-band mode.

Ant light turn on whith lineal amplifier

Your antenna light alerts you of high S.W.R.

Say your S.W.R. is fine, maybe 1.5:1, and so the antenna light is not on when the amplifier is off.

1.5:1 means 4% reflected power. With just the radio this is less than 1/4 watt. However, turn on the amplifier and 4% is much more and the radio may think the S.W.R. is higher.

That's one option, which may not be a problem. Another possibility is the S.W.R. actually increases which could be from a amplifier which is not true 50 ohms and/or lack of grounding for the increased power level. amduke@mail.com Communications Solutions

Radio loses signal strength when truck battery on or mike keyed.

Wire your radio directly to battery!
Run about 12 guage stranded wire to your battery with a Blade fuse standard size with a 25 amp fuse sice your using a CB Amplifier inbetween put a 30 amp auto relay.going through the switching contacts.
Now wire a grond to 1 side of relay coil the other use a12v source from fuse box so when key is turned on the radio will come on! If you want cb to come on anytime then I suggest skip relay and rub wires to
the floor with insulated banna connectors but put that fuse in line also the fuses on your cb and amplifier to.

Your problem is your trying to gather DC for your radio off a vecical power source them wires are to thin and you may be getting a Bad ground saight t the battery only best way! If your radio gets weak check your battery if you hve a cb amplifier on turn off durring transmissions without car running! goood luck

Cant hear anything

Hello, I would fist advise you to get the audio output specs and the service manual for this unit and look at the voltage level at the speaker, and the last audio stage of the CB. What I believe is that the audio amplifier or the audio detector of the CB has malfunctioned. I would suggest that you inject a signal at the proper level into the stage after the audio detector (first audio amp) and see is the sound can be heard properly at the speaker, then I would measure the audio at each stage leading to the first audio amplifier to determine where the audio is dropping out at. once found, check the DC voltages at that stage and determine which comploente is at fault, the culprit is most likely a bad filter capacitor. I hope this helps, Thank you, Shuttle83 http://www.electron-age-technologies-llc.com

Uniden Pro 510xl can send but not receive

If you look on the solder side of board you shoud see a straight line of 5-7 solder joints, look on the other side the audio vhjp is a bmack thin retangular ic chip. Not to worry you wont hurt anything by doing this. Its an old cb tech trick to test audio chips.GOOD LUCK.

Oh one other thing does the radio have same same problem in either vehicle? A insulating washer on the antenna bracket can cause this also,
