Well I bought my 2005 dodge magnum rt about a year ago and when I arm the alarm the lights dont flash. The car still has the factory alarm on it also when I arm it the lights do flash!!!!! Both alarms work 100% The viper door pin switchs all work perfectly with just the viper alarm on!!!! And then when I juust set the factory alarm and open the door it honks like crazy!!!! Everything is working great just NO lights flash when I arm the VIPER!!!!!!!!!! I am very knowledgeable to car audio. Just never messed with a car alarm before... Thanks.........

Hey I asked you a problem about why my Viper alarm lights dont flash!!! You told me to look in the passenger side kick panel for the purple and white wire!!! Well it was exactly where you said it was. So I thank you very much. But my next problem on the same wire is that the wire is stripped back with the wire exposed, But it is still connected together just stripped back and there its nothing hooked up to it.. there is a power and ground wire there that I sure is coming off of the alarm!!! You can tell its not factory but it looks very clean... I Just hope that you can help me with figuring out that with whaT ITS SUPPOSED TO BE HOOKED UP TOO!!! I see by the diagram you sent me that its a hot wire!!!! I was thinking that maybe it was tied in with the other connector... Because there is a ground one there with two wires going into the same connector!!! The connectors are the ones that you just crimp on the wire with out stripping it or cutting!!! Hope you can help!!!! I sure need it thanks!!!!

Sounds to me like the parking light output wire. They usually have a seperate fuse or the connection is bad. The connection on your vehicle should be behind the pass side kick panel and look for a wire to the white/purple wire and check that with a meter or light to see if it's kick out power. There is a possibility they used the negative trigger through a resister and that would be located behind the headlight switch. That will at least let you know and trace down the problem. Here is a link with that parking light info for yours. Hope this helps and let me know if you have more questions.

If the LED is on solid then the alarm is in valet. To exit valet, press "F" twice then press unlock on the remote. The LED should turn off.
OR,
enter the vehicle, turn the ignition on then off, press and release the valet/programming button on the antenna. LED should turn off

Parking and cab lights don't flash where arming or disarming. Also Lights don't say illuminated when remote start is on. Did i turn this function off?

It's possible that the parking kight wire is no longer connected or, the (alarm's) fuse for the parking is blown. The parking light fuse for the 5701 is located behind the door on the alarm module.

I just had the viper 5901 installed and was wondering if I could have that blue flashing light disable as I feel it is too bright and draws attention to the vehicle. Can that be done?

The flashing blue light is to tell potential thieves that the vehicle is armed with a security system, making a potential thief less likely to break into it.

Your alarm is is in valet. to take the alarm out of valet with the remote: open any door. Press lock, unlock, lock. The LED should be off now. Close the door and lock the doors with remote. The alarm should chirp to confirm that it is armed.
OR
Turn the key on then off. Within ten seconds press and release the valet switch. The LED should be off now. Close the door and lock the vehicle with the remote. The alarm should chirp to confirm that it is armed.

Installed. Arm the car locked. About 2-3 hours

You must change the doors trigger connection if you have a negative input change it to positive input or vise versa and try. I’m sure that this is going to end your problems or the smart way is, take it back to Best Buy
