Hey,

try starting up in safe mode, turn off the computer. then turn it on again, before the windows loading screen comes up keep tapping f8 so the advanced start up menu opens up, start in safe mode.

ones you are in safe mode, try opening regedit again.
Let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks,

Wat does regedit means

regedit is an an inbuilt Microsoft Registry Editor. To start the regedit.exe go to Start>>>Run>>> type regedit and click OK. The Microsoft Registry Editor (regedit.exe) enables you to view, search for, and change settings in your system registry, which contains information about how your computer runs. Although you can use Registry Editor to inspect and modify the registry, doing so is not recommended, because making any incorrect changes can damage your operating system. Please go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Registry for more details.

You answered my last Question.

The XP fix is the same for Vista

Click the start button, type Regedit, Registry Editor should appear on the program menu above, Right Click Registry Editor, Click RUN as ADMINISTRATOR

Once registry editor opens, navigate to the key indicated in the XP article and Delete the listings for upper filters and lower filters (There may be only one listing and only remove the filters from that one key)

The close registry editor, and reboot the system
