Motorolla i776 asking for a code

There are various ways to do this. But the best and most effecient way is to first install the motorolla driver from the disc which came with the phone on your PC. Next connect the phone to the PC using a USB cable and follow the instructions from the motorola suite which has been installed previously.

Does it have a sim card installed? If so and if it has been in and out of another phone, pull it out and look at the gold contacts on the sim card. Are they worn through? if not, get a drop of rubbing alcohol on the contacts of the card and wipe them down really well. You might just have something on it like a fingerprint or something that is blocking the connection.

HI If you are asking for pin contact your service provider , he will give you a default pin . If you try pin more than few predefined no of times your phone will ask PUK code which can also be given only by your service provider which is specific for each and every mobile number . Donot try PUK code many times or else your sim will be blocked and you will need a new sim.
Contact your sim customer care department over phone. Its free of cost to get the pin or puk no.
Go to the nearest service outlet of your service provider they can also help you.
There is no other go than the above procedure only your service provider can give it nobody else in this world nor any software.

You should contact your network as if you eneter the wrong code too many times, it damages the sim and you will probly have to end up buying a new one. I did this exact thing on my phone. Ring especially if it starts asking for an PUK code.
