My tv went black and now i can't turn off the DVD player and i can't open it.
Problem for Toshiba SD-4000
Toshiba dvd player tray is stuck.

Cannot open tray on DVD player. I put in the code that the book called for to unlock they tray but still nothing. I also took cover off the see if any connections were unplugged but all looked good. Power is coming on but when you push the open door button it says loading and then says no. Have any suggestions or should I just toss it?

Same issue. When I press "Open" the unit stops spinning a moment, then "Load" flashes up on the display and it resumes spinning. I tried the code to lock or unlock the tray but the machine didn't acknowledge it. I'm about to pry it apart to rescue my DVD, then landfill it.

If the player is out warranty then remove the power cord and check if the are pin hole on player below or next the eject tray if there's one insert a paper pin or paper clip and tray will open abit and then gently pull the tray out and remove the dvd ,if this is not possible then you need open the side screws of the player and then gently remove the dvd as you get access to remove ,once done check with other disk if disk gets struck in the player ..
