Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked,
check the electrical connections at the pump.
Check the drain pump filter.

ok...run unit on rinse and spin only,,we need cold water,,if unit still shows sud error make sure drain hose is not kinked,,,if we still have a sud condiction or error ,,remove toe panel and clean filter.good luck

when you put it on to drain can you hear a noise from the pump to show its working, if it wont drain it wont spin, if you can hear the pump then there is a blockage somewhere could be in the pump, filter, outlet hose or stanpipe

The Motor Control Unit senses a suds lock condition by analyzing the current draw on the drive motor. If "Sud" is displayed a potential Suds Lock is detected. This may signify a bad pump, an extra heavy load, excessive detergent, or excessive suds.

Possible Causes / Procedure

• If too much detergent was used:
- Run the unit through a Rinse/Spin cycle.
- Run a Normal cycle without adding any detergent.

This should clear the unit of the excess detergent.

1. Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
2. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
3. Check wire harness connections to the drain pump, pressure switch, and Central Control Unit (CCU).
4. Check/clean drain pump filter of foreign objects.
5. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
6. Check drain pump.
7. Check the pressure switch.
8. Verify CCU operation by running a Diagnostic test or any cycle.

SUDS LOCK (Overdose of detergent detected during the wash cycle)

Replace failed component.

The motor controller board is likely bad.

The "F02" error code is a slow drain error. If you have confirmed your dry lines are clear, you may have a drain pump that is either clogged, or is not working properly. The following link explains:

It doesn't take much to damage the drain pump on these washers. If something is lodged in the pump for extended periods it could potentially damage the pump impeller or pump motor. The pump may SOUND like it is working, but it may not be pumping. If a good cleaning doesn't work, you may have to replace the drain pump. Replacements are available at searspartsdirect.com.

The "SUDS" error may be caused by a drain pump this is not working properly as well. If the pump gets air inside, it will begin to cavitate and can cause the "SUD" error to appear. Just to be sure, you can refer to this link as well:

If your washer is not draining properly, it will not spin, either. I think your spin problem may be directly associated to a drainage issue. Begin with a an inspection and cleaning (if required) of the drain pump. I suspect this may be the cause of all your symptoms.

I believe the SUDS error is in direct relationship to the clogged drain problem. Yes...the error can be generated by the use of too much soap. But, it is also caused by too much air in the drain pump. This is caused by a clog somewhere. A clog in the drain area of the gasket is not going to cause this. I have experienced on one occasion where the drain hose coming from the bottom of the wash tub was clogged. This, ironically, was from someone washing a rug that had a ton of sand and dirt in it. I had to remove this hose from the bottom of the wash tub and clean it out. I mention this just in case cleaning the drain pump is not enough.
