If you have tried tried to clean the unit according to the manufacturer and the problem still persists you may have a something that has become lodged in the check valve. Unfortunately, unless you have a special screw driver required to remove the two anti-tamper screws fastening the bottom cover to the unit, and are willing to void the warranty if still covered, you will not be able to service the unit yourself. If so, before preceding make sure the unit is unplugged from the electrical outlet and any water remaining in the holding tank is removed by holding the unit upside down over a sink. Caution water may still be hot.

With the bottom panel removed locate the rubber hose connecting the heating tube to the bottom of the holding tank. Important... Before removing the hose be sure to make note of the orientation and position of the check valve as it must reinstall in the same direction and position in the hose. To remove the hose slide both clips toward the check valve and remove. Note that the clips are of different sizes. The large is used on the tank end, the smaller is used on the metal heating tube end. With the hose removed, carefully slide the check valve out of the tube and remove any debris that may have become lodged in the valve. You may need to remove the plastic ball from the three prong holder to do so. Do not use any sharp metal objects to remove the ball that could damage it. Once cleaned reassemble the valve and place it back into the hose. Reattach hose making sure not to leave any kinks in the hose and that the check valve is properly installed in the same direction and position in the hose as before. Besure to reinstall bottom cover before returning the coffee maker to service. To prevent electrocution.. Do Not plug unit in with bottom cover removed.

The problem is the plastic valve on the bottom of the tank. If you remove the 4 screws connecting the black and white parts together it will expose the valve and you will find that at least one of the tabs that secure the valve are cracked off. You can replace the tank for a new one at HB website for 10 bucks or try to repair the valve yourself.

My hamilton beach brew stations quits after brewing 2 cups of coffee.... we have to turn it off and turn it back on several times to get the whole pot brewed. help.

You just need to run white vinegar through it. Put white vinegar in the same way you do water (but don't put any coffee grounds in the basket). Run it as many times as it takes to get all the vinegar out, and then run it again three or four times the same way. After it runs normally, run water through it until the vinegar smell is gone.

The cause of the slow brewing is that the water you normally use has some amount of hardness to it, and over time the hard water minerals build up on the heating element inside the machine. The buildup prevents the heating element from heating the water as fast as designed. The vinegar will dissolve the minerals and let the heater work at full capacity again.

If you want to avoid this in the future, just run the white vinegar through it once a month or so even if it's not running slow.

Keeps shutting off after one cups is brewed even if filled for 10 cups

Hi, this is a common problem with Hamilton Beach on several models. There are also a host of other problems with them. There is no fix for these coffee makers. They are "throw aways" have owned them myself in the past and understand your problem. Sorry to sound so negative but Many people are disappointed with Hamilton Beach.
Good Luck.

I own a brew station master and we have not had it a year yet and when we put the water in to brew 12 cups it only brews 4-6 cups we have cleaned the coffee pot with a cleaner but it has not helped

If the model you have is a 74214, I had the same problem. I had to repeatedly turn the pot off and on to get a whole pot of coffee. I returned the first one within 90 days back to Walmart with no receipt. They exchanged it with no problem The second one did the same thing so it went back also. I was going to exchange it for the same model but got lucky and found the next upgrade model (47665) on sale at that time. Not only did Walmart credit me the cost of the faulty one, but refunded me the $5.00 difference!!!! I've had the better model (47665) for about 9 nonths now and had a problem with a waher/gasket falling out causing the coffee to run all over the place. I called Hamilton Beach customer service at 1-800-851-8900 and explained the problem. They informed me that the tiny plasitc piece that holds the gasket in place had broken and I would need a whole new tank. They then informed me that for the $5.00 cost of shipping, they would send me the new tank FREE OF CHARGE!!!!!! AMAZING. I love Hamilton Beach and know that they stand behind their products. Call them at 1-800-851-8900 and explain the problem. I'm sure they will remedy the issue at little or no cost to you and if it can be repaired, I know they will send the part with instructions at no cost. Good Luck to you. Katherine

My hamilton beach brew station 10 cup makes 2 cups then stops

Is it a model #47214? If so, I had to take TWO back to the store I bought them from within a 6 month period. I bought mine at Walmart and even without a receipt they exchanged it for an identical model with no proble. The second one did the same thing. I had to keep turning the pot off and on to get it to complete one brewing cycle. The third trip to Walmart, the next better model (47665) was on sale and agin with no receipt, Walmart gave me the purchase price of the faulty model 47214 toward replacing it with model 47665 which is usually $15.00 more, but because the better one was on sale, I actually got a $5.00 refund too!!!!!!! I love Walmart. BUT.......after about 9 months using the model 47665 constantly thru the day, the coffee ran all over the counter and floor. When I checked it out to see if I could fix it, I found the small round gasket the prevents this from happening had come out. I called Hamilton Beach Customer Support at 1-800-851-8900 and explained the problem. The told me the tiny plastic part that held the washer in was broken and I needed a whole new tank. Imagine my surprise when they then informed me that for the nominal fee of $5.00 for shipping, they would send me a whole new tank, NO CHARGE!!!!! I love Hamilton Beach. They stand behind their products and until you contact them for yourself, you'll never realize how wonderful they are. Call them, 1-800-851-8900 and explain the problem. I know they will remedy the problem as quickly and cheaply as they can. Good Luck to you!!!!!!! Katherine

Stops brewing before all water empties from reservoir

I went to Hamilton Beach site and read the troubleshooting. I followed there cleaning instructions and reduced grind time on my coffee and the machine is working perfectly again. I stressed over this problem for a long time before following their operating instructions. Have had the machine for over two years now and it's back to working perfectly. i.e. Run a pint of white vinegar through it. Wait 30 minutes and run another full vat of water....wait again and run another full vat of water. If you're grinding your own coffee, you may be grinding it too fine. Otherwise Hamilton Beach recommends the kind of coffee to use. Also the problem maybe too dense of a filter. This is all info I got on the H. Beach troubleshooting site. Good Luck !!! Mine is back to working great !
