Do you have a manual and a remote access number for a ge digital answering machine # 29868ge1

You may view/download the manual at http://www.fixya.com/support/p129720-ge_29868ge1_digital_answering_machine/usermanual-FE8FB0F-pdf

The number you call to get your messages from another location is your phone number. The security code is 123 if you haven't changed it.

I have a DECT 6.0 and lost the manual. How do I retrieve messages remotely.

There are several models of DECT 6.0 phones by Panasonic. The manuals for most can be found by finding your model in this list: http://www2.panasonic.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/PNAEndecaSearchCmd?N=779832097&Ne=&Ns=&Nr=12001&No=0&Ntt=75513&Ntk=CategorySearch&URL=vSupportSearch&cn=DECT+6.0+Phones&cmTag=true&catalogId=11017&storeId=15001 .

For the phone I know, the remote access code must be enabled. Dial the home phone number (with a touch tone phone) and at the greeting enter the remote access code. Then press 4 to hear new messages and 5 to hear all messages. Press 1 to repeat a message or 2 to skip a message. Press *4 to erase the message currently being played. *5 deletes all messages. When done press *# or hang up.

See the manual for more information. There is a default code listed in the manual.

I hope this helps.

Need to retrieve lost or deleted message.

As a Expert that is not going to happen once these messages are deleted there gone for good, Even a data recovery center would not be able to help unless it was store on a magnetic tape of some sort.

What you got in this machine is NV-RAM Non voltile RAM random access memory. Meaning once the unit looses power or messages where deleted that area can no linger be accessed.

Hate to be the bad news breaker here makes me feel bad. But please show you support and leave a postive feedback and rating for your free answer today.

I lost my manual and do not have my remote access code

Youy may be out of luck because you never entered your own personal code, but you can try entering "11" which is the default on many phones. You also have the option of starting at "01" and working towards "99" until you hit the right combo.

Rathger than rehash the instructions, here is a link to the operating manual for your phone. See pages 25 and 64.

Lost instruction book

Did you lose the ability to read the model number on the bottom of the base or phone?

Typical Panasonic remote retrieval of messages involve the use of a code, as simple as 11. So you call in, press *11 and follow the guide to play back messages.

Of course, the key is to getting a manual. If you're looking for a USA manual, try this link: http://service.us.panasonic.com/operman/default.aspx

I have at&t digital answering machine 1717 and lost manual

The code it usually set up by you on the device, if you run through the set up procedure (Time Date, message) on your machine one of the steps is the remote access code, which the machine should read off to you at this point, you should change this to a code you can easily remember and not leave it at the factory defaut as this would leave your messages openly accessable to other parties.

Hope this is of some help.

How do you retrieve messages from another phone?

If you have not changed the code, it should be set to the default code 1-2-3. Call the phone with the answering machine, and as soon as your greeting starts press 123. You will then hear a menu. Press 1 to retrieve your messages. After listening to your messages, you can listen to the menu again, which will tell you that you can press 0 to delete your messages, among other choices. Cathy
