The easiest way to get your threads adjusted and learn which thread does what is to thread the machine with 4 different colors. Set your tension dials at 4,3,2,1 from left to right. This is the starting point. Sew on a test strip and look at the threads. You can then adjust the correct tension dial according to the thread color. This is a great way to get the machine set back to correct tensions as well as a learning tool to figure out what each thread looks like so you can adjust later when using all one color.

Machine will not stitch

Turn it off, pull the thread out. Unplug it for the wall and let it sit for 5-10 minutes. Turn it back on an drethread carefully. Hopefully it will work then. Good Luck!

Need to by part for yamata overlock sewing machine (the Looper is broken)

Contact Yamata directly, that is the only way to get parts unfortunately. The have an office in Florida that they ship parts from but you may want to order more than just your looper because they only ship ups.

Sewing machine stopped making the stich

Unthread the needles, rethread the loopers properly, then rethread the needles. Make sure that all four threads are pulled securely into the tensions and retry.

The loopers must always be threaded before the needles or it will not chain.

Just purchased a Yamata FY14U4AD overlocker from eBay. It is meant to be new. The power is on but there seems to be no drive. The motor makes a buzzing sound but the needles do not move. Is there a trick...

It sounds like your loopers are jammed.....if not, something else is....These are very cheap machines made in China..imported initially through jSM joys Sewing Machines...Put it back on ebay as soon as you can...
