On the front, take long silver plastic piece off. This will be under the mini disk input.
On the left side of tv there will be a screw. Undo this, pull plate off. Inside there will be another screw. Undo this, slide out bulb enclosure.

You probably have a defective new lamp. Did you put the lamp door back on?

SOURCE: Panasonic pt-50lc13 it just will not turn on,but

Is the lamp indicator light flashing? A new lamp may not solve the problem. The known problem with lamp failures is poor voltage output from the ballast,.. a problem Panasonic refuses to correct and they decided to no longer provide the repair part through their supplier in an attempt to sweep this problem under the rug.
Lamp light flashing once every 5 seconds or twice every 5? Twice every 5 seconds,....lamp failure, once every 5 seconds,...ballast or thermal fuse failure. You have a lamp, ballast or thermal fuse problem. The ballasts are a discontinued part and can only be purchased used at approx. $225.00 or rebuilt for around $175.00 less any service charges to diagnois and repair.

I think you hold down the volume - button on the TV and the SPLIT or PIP button on the TV remote at the same time for 5+ seconds. Becareful that your arm does not block the remote from getting to the TV. A message will appear when you are successful. Best wishes.

Panasonic pt 50lc13 Ballast update done Bulb blew out just replaced and now the amber ( yellow flashes twice ) every 5 seconds how can i check the door lamp switch? is it just an open closed switch? thanks...

The door switch is in the front. The switch is triggered when you put the lamp door cover back on. It is a switch thats spring loaded so when you put the lamp door back on it automatically presses the switch.

Reset Time Problem on Panasonic TV (PT-50LC13)

Power on the set, listen for afaint buzzing sound as the set tries to fire up. If you do not here it then your lamp driver, or ballast is most likely faulty. Also make sure you have the door and all covers back in place and secure. And make sure you insatlled an orginal panasonic lamp because some generic will not work.
