My Lexmark X75 will print but not copy. When I

My Lexmark X75 will print but not copy. When I try to copy it makes whirring noises but nothing is printed and no paper comes out. When I print everything is printed normally. Any suggestions?

I have an X75 at home and I remember the computer has to be on to copy, so it's really just doing a scan and then an immediate print. Are you copying from the button on the X75 or from the All-In-One Center software on the computer? If the button, try it from the software.

Printer has stopped printing blue


Make sure that you are inserting only genuine Lexmark cartridges in your printer. Removing then re-inserting the color cartridge into the printer is a quick to minor cartridge communication issues.
Make sure that your color cartridge still has substantial ink level for printing using the Lexmark Solution Center software on your computer.
Click Start > Programs > Lexmark X74-X75 > Lexmark X74-X75 Solution Center. Check the ink levels.
If color ink level is still good, then it probably just needs some cleaning. Print quality issues can be due to dirty or clogged print cartridge nozzles. From the Maintenance tab in the Lexmark X74-X75 Solution Center, click Clean print nozzles to fix horizontal streaks. Your printer will then print a test page. Try to print a color page again to verify that the problem with the blue color is fixed.
If the problem continues, try to insert a different known working color cartridge to identify if it's a faulty cartridge issue.

Make sure the Lexmark X75 driver software is installed on your computer. You can download and install the Lexmark X75 driver by visiting the Lexmark website at http://bit.ly/iSpJjv.

It could be a slight communication problem. A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Frequently, issues are caused simply by a break in the signal sent from PC to printer or vice versa. Unplugging and re-plugging the printer allows the small amount of on-board memory on the printer to be cleared, with the result that the PC recognizes the machine properly. Programs continuing to run in the background of the operating system (OS) can cause the signal to be lost. Rebooting the PC ends all programs that may be running and makes a 'clean' start, allowing the signal to be detected.

How do you copy without using the software?

Please try the 'test sheet' (or sample printout' first) before you attempt anything else. You DO need the software to access the spooler memory cache and/or store a document before printing. See if you can
run the direct USD test program and test it from your system.

I have an X75 at home and I remember the computer has to be on to copy, so it's really just doing a scan and then an immediate print.

Make sure your computer is on. If it still doesn't copy, launch the Lexmark All-In-One Center software on the computer. You can do a copy from there... and it should put a little icon in your systray (lower right area of the screen)... that might re-enable the copy from the button.

Try deleting the driver and re installing. Make sure you have or can get the install program before deleting the old.

Lexmark X75 printing difficulties


if the black was empty you would notice the difference in the pictures as well, but if the word print is black, it wont print in colour it's supposed to print what you see.
