Question about XtremeMac IPD-TMX-10 Tango Studio Compact Desktop Audio System - Black (842603006788)

Open Question

No sound from Extrememac Tango white

My desktop white tango's power light is on but no sound.  My ipod mounts from the top and it is working. I changed the power cord because the old one became loose. The power cord I used is not a tango power cord.  Can anyone help?  Where can I send it to be repaired?  It's the best sound for the money.

SOURCE: ipod dock is broken on xtrememac tango

well your lucky the dock gave up the ghost before your ipod.
it's possible there is some damage to your ipod also but those docks will fry your ipod toot sweet.
I would not use the dock at all but if you are i would first try hooking your ipod up to a computer with a usb just to make sure it's not damaged in the charging port.

if you have a RCA jack in the dock you can use that, but the ipod is not made to play through the charging port, the docks are an after thought and I am not sure why but possibly incorrect voltage or voltage surges, but i have replaced at least 30 motherboards of customers who played them on docks.
your ipod wouldn't by chance be a 30gb video or a 3rd gen nano?
seems those are the 2 most susceptible to this issue.

I have an iPod Touch 4 with iOS version 4.1 It has been working flawlessly for 2+ months. Today when I shut my B&W off (while the iPod was docked), I got the flashing red light. I unplugged the...

these all relate to the power supply, sometimes when the board is faulty the aux works fine, the red light flashing may only occur when the ipod is connected, but it is all part of the same known problem. contact seller or b and w service, they should fix it.

Bose sounddock not giving any sound. Ipod working fine through earplugs. Unhooked soundock for travel, now no sound. Tried all the resets, etc. Also, new battery in remote and it doesn't respond either????

You probably have a broken docking connector or bad power supply. Contact www.invebo.com to get a replacement board. It takes minutes to fit. They also sell the USB charge upgrade to enable you dock to charge the IPHONE on the Soundock original.

I have an Apple iPod accessory -- Model A1121-- that doesn't output any sound.

I can help you troubleshoot your A1121 iPOD docking station.

First of all, can you confirm that your iPOD is seating correctly and securely in the docking port?

For example, when the + or - buttons are pressed on the top, does the green light on the front blink, eventually going red after several pushes?
& Is there any indication that the unit is controlling your iPOD, but simply not outputting sound?

Bose sound dock - no sound comes through it but my ipod works with the ear plugs so it's not my ipod

I had this problem for the pat two days. Believe it or not I took my Ipod touch of the dock. Shut the power off to the Ipod to reset it. Also the power to the docking station. turned everything back on. Put the Ipod back into the docking station and heard the beep.. and hit play and it was working again. Not sure but shutting Ipod off does act like a reset.

No sound from Bose SoundDock

I had this problem on my SoundDock. My iPod would charge on the dock just fine and when I played my iPod on the dock, it would look like it was playing, but have no sound. Since my Bose was out of warranty, this is what I did to fix it. #1 Unplug the adapter. #2 Unscrew the four large screws on the bottom of the speaker and the three small screws under the dock. #3 You'll see one long ribbon connection and one very short one. Check to see if the ribbon connector coming from the front of the speaker system came loose from the green board. You'll only be able to see 1/2 an inch of it sticking out, and it's not easy to plug it back in, but it's possible. Just take your time. #4 Carefully put everything back together being very careful not to let the ribbon fall out of the plug again. #5 Make sure to plug in the DC adapter the correct way. There's a very subtle difference, but there is a difference. There are four prongs - two are square and two have slightly rounded corners. If it's not plugged in the correct way, the dock will have a static clicking sound. On my adapter, the words "DC power" are on the top of the plug.

Bose Sounddock problem

I had the same issue, it just stopped working today for no reason. Since it's out of Warranty and Bose charges too much to fix it, I took the bottom off, cleaned all the contacts, applied some dialectric silicone compound to the contacts, put it back together... and it works great!
