Software of your phone is corrupted. easiest way out is to factory restore your phone....BUT THIS WILL EREASE ALLL USER DATA INCLUDING PHONE BOOK ENTRIES STORED IN THE PHONE MEMORY....However sim and memory card data will not be effected.........to do this...go to settings and select restore factory settings/full factory restore...ur phone will ask for security code....for code refer user manual..or enter code that u have previously changed.......if this fails then switch off phone,....remove battery....reinsert battery....press volume up,and Power button for about 15 seconds.........till boot mode appears and u get some text written on screen....using volume up key scroll thru the text and select erase all user data/restore....now press power button for about 2-3 seconds......process begins........restart phone.......this should solve the problem...........but if still problem persists then u will have to visit a service person who will flash ur set using special tool loke...volcano box.
To Restore to factory settings
1. From the application menu, Select Settings
2. select SD Card & Phone Storage
3. Select Factory data reset
4. Select Reset phone
5. Enter your password if required, then Select Yes to confirm
To do Hard reset if your phone is frozen:
1. Turn the power off. If your Samsung Moment is frozen, pull the battery out and put it back again
2. Hold the Volume Down button, Call and End until "Samsung" appears on the screen along with a menu
3. Select Master reset device
4. When the phone is done erasing, choose the option to reboot
Once the Samsung Moment reboot it returns back to factory-fresh default state settings.
