I have a HP C7280 all in one printer which works fine manually and I can print wirelessly from both laptops, but I cannot access the scanner from either laptop through HP Solutions panel or through photoshop or any of the other photo programs. Itkeeps telling me to check the connection and does not recognize the scanner--the window has a logo that comes up with $FRIENDLYNAME$ which I assume is supposed to have my computer name in it. It is driving me crazy because I need this scanner for photoshop and the people at HP have given up on me. Any help you can give me would be so appreciated. (I have tried the HP solutions of unplugging, replugging, turning off the virus programs (seems like a crazy solution), and the diagnotic program on the HP web site says it is only good for USB and parallel port diagnostics (I assume this is not for wireless).
You will have to uninstall the scanner drivers from the computer in the control
panel>scanners..then uninstall the printer drivers from the orinter in the control
panel and then run the wireless setup wizard on the printer then try reinstalling the drivers and the s/w using the disc that came with
the printer......see if works
