Question on Bose 3-2-1

Can I hook my old Technics turntable to my new Bose 3-2-1 and listen to my old vinyl?

I have attached my old Technics turntable to the Bose but I have to turn the BOSE volume upto about 80 to hear the music- I think because the TT is analog and the Bose is made for digital audio- not sure if using a pre-amp or a Turntable with a built in ( like the ION) would help or not?

Can I hook up an audio technika 120 USB to my Bose 321 system? And will I need an additional amplifier?

The answer is not only yes, but hell yes. My question is why wouldn't you have done this yet? There is an AUX input on the back of the 3-2-1. Plug the Red/White cables into there and select AUX from the remote or front panel of the 3-2-1 and you're listening to albums! Enjoy.

How old is my technics sh760 and can I connrct a turntable

As long as you have a dedicated pre-amp or phono input on the amplifier, then yes you can use your amplifier. If you don't and you plug it into a standard red and white via analog cables, you'll have a lovely plugged nose sound. Majority of the amplifiers you can purchase at FutureShop or Best Buy can accommodate a turntable as they(turntables) are a huge hit in todays market. Also you'll be able to have HDMI inputs, which is necessary as your old Receiver doesn't have it. Only if you plan on using it for video. If not, and your only purpose is for Audio. Go to town.

How do I connect and hear a technics SLB210 turntable to a DV250 sound system

The signal output from the turntable is very low and needs a special input which most modern sound systems no longer have.
You will need to connect your turntable to a preamplifier.
The output from this preamplifier then goes to the auxiliary input ("AUX") of your sound system.
A good starting page to look around for a turntable preamplifier is here:

Good luck!

When setting up a sound card to my m4 numark 3 channel mixer do i have the switch to phono or line

"PHONO" is ONLY for an old school turntable that would require a PHONO preamp, so that leaves, uh, LINE.

It's more than a matter of gain as Phono cartridges require special equalization to restore flatness to the sound recorded in a vinyl groove.

I want to hook up my bose 321gsx system to my hdtv and a blue ray dvd player and be able to have suround sound out of the one im listening to, Do i have to hook up my old vcr also ?

No, flushing anything hi-def through a VCR is counter-prooductive and could lose the definition you paid for.

but some assumptions are necessary because you don't provide the details regarding the audio capabilities of your HDTV and BluRay player.

How do i connect technics turntable model SL-QD33 to technics stereo model SC-DV290 and what do i need to switch to on stereo to play records.

Have a look on the back input panel of the sc-dv290. Check for a "PHONO" input. If there is no phono input it will not play turntable. If there is: then plug it the turntable in and switch the SC-DV290 to PHONO mode.
Another way would be to purchase a "phono preamplifier" from ebay: Hook the turntable into the phono preamplifier, and the preamplifer into the SC-DV290 AUX input.

Sadly, it is only a Home Theater System. It is not a Audio/Video Receiver. The only possible way to get around this is to buy a converter to hook into your RCA turntable to the ASC IN Jack in the front lower left corner as you are looking at it! Sorry, I hope this will help you...

Can i install a turntable to my technics sc-dv290

ION has just released a turntable that connect via USB! You can now play your lp's on anything that accepts usb cables. It is available at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. Also, there are many various turntables available that connect via RCA cable. Bet Buy and Circuit City both carry mdels that will hook to your unit via RCA cable. They have some models on sale at times for under $90 bucks! Thanks for using FixYa! And don't forget to rate my solutuion! Good luck, and Happy listenng!

If you're saying you hooked the Bose speakers directly to the Yamaha's amp instead of the prescribed way through their own bass module - they're cooked.
