Canon np 6035 copies to dark
He is probably adjusting the exposure voltage. If you take a flashlight and look inside the small hole, you should see either a "+" or a "-" on a plastic part. Turning it clockwise will increase the voltage, and counter clockwise will decrease the voltage.
If you are going to do this, I would suggest using a plastic screwdriver to turn the "Pot" (Potentiometer)
Doing with by yourself will be a hit or miss effort. Also it is not recommended doing this without knowing what you are doing.
FYI, If you are going to turn the "Pot" on your own, I would suggest turning it very little and testing a copy, and then doing this again and again to make sure you are helping the situation or hurting it.
