Hi, I have an Acer Aspire z5700 All In One PC, have had no problems connecting to and /or detecting wireless networks until recently, I cannot pick up any wireless points I have installed the latest drivers for the wireless network adapter but the adapter is not showing up in Device Manager and when I enter BIOS it states that the media is disconnected. There is no problem with the router as it works perfectly on my PS3 console. Is there a way to reconnect the adapter? It is a Ralink RT3090 and I'm running Windows 7. I have read posts with similar problems and tried the soloutions to no avail. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

hi Coolieman
Just to basics, remove or disable on BIOS the network adapter
then go on (XP I PRESUME) on save mode and see if you can disable or uninstall any net card.
2) Reenable the net card, and if redetect , install the drivers according, sometimes the PC install them for you.
try again your setting on the lynksys.

Get an external network modem that uses usb port that's my advice because sometimes we can search forever lookinf when we can enjoy it already.

I need more info before I can help much. Try this if possible.
is the network adapter park of the motherboard or is a separate PCI card?
If you can remove the card, I would remove it and restart the pc. Then
turn off the computer and reinsert the card. Power the PC back up and
see if windows even detects a device added. If it does not, then the
card may be toast.

this happened to me once. you may try making sure that the internet you are using is connected correctly, if you have a desktop connected to the same router, than make sure the internet is working, and that ou internet provider isnt screwing up. thats how i fixed it. good luck...
