I cant get internet on my itouch although im connected to a wi-fi
I just bought an iTouch recently. i connected a wi-fi network, but i still cant get internet. it keeps displaying that my internet isn't connected, but i have a great signal and im connected to a wi-fi network. what should i do? return it to the store? PLEASE HELP!!!

First put security on the router that you are using. Then see if other computers are able to connect to it. If it can already, turn off and on the IPOD touch then search for a network. Once you see the network Select it to connect then it should as for the security key. As for the wireless security on your router make sure that you are using only WEP or WPA the IPOD touch does not support WPA2 yet.
The touch doesnt have a "key" this is the key from the Wi-fi spot you are trying to connect to. You will need the person that owns that wi-fi to provide that to you. The itouch simply connects to the wi-fi and uses it for internet. Hope this helps.
don't let the iTouch connect to the wi-fi network it detected automatically - try setting up a new wi-fi network from scratch.
the setup screens will ask for network name (the SSID) the security protocol (probably WPA-PSK if you are having all this trouble) and the password (pre shared key)
