I ended up not replacing it because it look almost brand new. This wick worked perfect for a winter and a half. I did find after posting here a tip to treat for condensation. Storing empty heaters is a magnet for condensation in the tank and wick. It said to add two eyedroppers of 91 to 95% alcholol to the tank of fuel and let set for 30 minutes to absorb moisture, then try lighting. in hard cases, it said to remove wick, soak in alcholol, dry and re-install. Uggghh. I will try the eyedropper tonight and post if it works.

Did you soak the new wick a good hour in clean kerosine before you installded it???is your wick in the correct position? it needs to be 5/8" showing when installed in the up most position.very important to soak the wick or it won't wick up fluid as it is suppose to.

How do you dry burn dyna glo rmc 95-c6

A "dry burn" is when the heater runs out of fuel and the tar buildup on the wick is burned away. This operation should be done outside in a covered location. It should only be necessary every seven days of 24/7 operation.

How do you clean wick on dyna glo rmc 95-c6

Your wick is a fiberglass wick, so all you need to do is operate the heater until it is almost out of fuel than take the heater outside to, preferably, a covered location and let it run out of fuel. This operation generally "cleans" the wick of built up tars.
If the wick doesn't clean this way, then a replacement may be necessary. If the wick is not even across the wick lands, then a trimming may be necessary too.
Burning out a heater of this type is generally only needed about once a week of 24/7 usage.

I have Dynaglo RMC-95 in Nigeria and the wick is bad . Where and how can i get replacement.

Most hardware stores and home centers carry wicks for kerosene heaters, in season. Since you know your model number, it won't be hard to find one there.

Dyna glo RMC 95 C6 kerosene heater, BRAND NEW. Wick and flame seem very low. At Max the wick height is 3/8(suggested height by manufacturer), flame is quite low, and not very hot at all

1. Check to make sure you using fresh clean kerosene fuel. 2. Make sure you fill the heater and let it set for at least an hour, 2 hours is better. 3. If either of those solutions don't fix the problem, return to the store.
I have the same heater and just changed the wick. When working correctly, it should be so hot that it's uncomfortable to hold your hand 2 feet over it.
