In order to play Brothers In Arms Hell's Highway, I have to unplug my joystick. Otherwise it just spins counter-clockwise in BIAHH... so... I unplug the joystick (Logitech Extreme 3D Pro), then I go to my Zboard "configurations" and activate the Brothers In Arms configuration and play the game. Everything is great so far.
Now I decide to fly in "Fighter Ace" by Ketsujin Studios, on-line game. So, I re-set my Zboard to the normal default (as it was before playing BIAHH) and go into FA. I plug in the joystick and the "nose up/nose down axis" won't work. Everything else, all buttons, hat view button, trigger, bombs, rockets... flaps... everything works on the joystick except "nose up/down"... I don't know how I fixed it, but it was hell to do. I deleted and re-loaded the joystick software, and everything imagineable.
What does happen is when I pitch the joystick 'right to left' both the X and Y axis seem locked together... push the stick forward or pull back and the tail flaps for rise and fall don't work... only in the right to left action... again... the axis are locked together.
What's the way to leave FA, unplug the js, go to BIA on Zboard, play the game, and then go back to FA by simply plugging in the js and setting my keyboard back to default (normal mode) w/out having to go through hell and back????

Hello, Here's the solution to your problem, you have to configure the games you're playing for the joystick to work, I believe all games have this option, ussualy in the "configure keyboard and mouse" options menu, click on any funcion you want your joystick to use for each button, and then press the button you want for that function, do that with all buttons of the joystick you want to use, some games need the joystick axis to be configured, just click on left/right and move your joystick in the desired direction, same procedure to up/down, if your joystick has a throttle wheel, do the same for it (if needed). Procedure is simple and most games has small variants of this procedures I gave you, but they are simple to figure out. Hope my solution helps, have a nice day :)
Well your disc is officially garbage because it's scratched. Don't bother trying to fix your game disc. Do what I did. Go to sellitbroken.com and sell your game to them. They will give you good money for it.
If it's anything like an authentic joystick control, there may be a switch where your fingers rest which must be gripped/engaged in order to achieve movement, but i've never actually seen this controller so I can't be certain.
I found a source for the sw421 joystick the only problem is i had to order 5 to meet minimum order. I successfully repaired my navigation joystick. Its a 4 axis with push toggle activated switch in the middle. If anyone would like me to repair their unit I will do 4 for $75.00 u pay shipping. It takes anout 1 1/2 hours from start to finish. So the unitcan be back in the mail to you the same day. email@example.com

Is this an issue only with this game or other games as well? Here are some articles from the logitech website that may be of some help... http://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/logitech_en_amr.cfg/php/enduser/ std_adp.php?p_faqid=289
