Question about JVC Everio GZ-MG21 Camcorder

1 Answer

Have power cinema ne for Everio software installed - we downloaded films from jvc camera and also put them on discs - the card was full so we deleted all the films - now we cant find the movies in this software - read the tutorial and is a jumble as to saving to folders or to c drive. Looked everywhere for the films - the snapshots are still there - also is there a way to input the dvds we copied back into the software? Your help is appreciated.

I'm a little confused. Are you looking for the missing videos on the card, or your C drive?

Try this. Create a new video (make it a short one) and use the software to save it to a file. It should use the same settings/folder options as it did for the videos you lost. See what that tells you, you may be able to find them that way.

There is a way to get video off of a DVD but you have to have a video capture program/card. There are many fine ones you can purchase. Thanks for coming to FixYa. Let me know if I can be of any more assistance.

Yes, they are saved in files on the C drive. There are two ways to find them.

    1) Do what I said above, and find out the default location where it saves the files, or:

    2) Do a search on your computer for video files.

    3) Read the manual to find out if the program changes the file type. Then do search on that file type.

Also, usually, the program keeps the last 5 videos you have worked on in. You might be able to find them under the file menu of the program...at the bottom.

There is nothing more to it than that.

Have you tried Nero? I want you to use the Power Cinema NE(Editor) its include in this package. Open the video file in the editor(Copy/Edit) Advance feature, you can do some editing if you wish and Produce. It will ask you what format will be the outcome(DVD Mpeg2). Once finished, this file is ready for burning. Burn it in Nero or Roxio as Data file since its already a DVD file. Hope it helps

Jvc power cinema NE for everio digital video camera, no sound on dvds??

Hi,

I had a similar problem, I could play videos on my PC but they had no sounds.
I found a solution

In theory *.Mod Files contains mpeg format for the video and AC3 format for the sound.

In my case I was missing the codec fot AC3 format.

I downloaded one here:
http://www.free-codecs.com/download/ac3_filter.htm

And it worked

Problem solved. I was thinking I could delete from the PowerCinema NE for Everio software program that comes with the camera but that is not the case, so it was just a matter of finding where all the video files were stored on the computer itself, ie, "myworks, Everio backup", and delete from there.
