Question about Parsons QuickVerse 2005 Expanded Edition (11149)

1 Answer

I have had Quickverse 2005 for some time and used it with Microsoft word 2003. The cut and past worked fine. I have upgraded the same computer to Microsoft 2007 and, when I cut and past, the line spacing is messed up and I can't figure out how to get it back to single space. I use this process to assist in having the scripture in front of me during preaching.

Thanks to the folks at Microsoft for setting that as default in 2007.

Go to the home ribbon, you should see in the heading styles, a style called normal. Right click on it and select modify.

Here you can select the defaults for the normal template which is used each time Word starts. You can choose your default font, size, etc. Underneath the font you have four sections. The first one is the justification which should usually be left justified. The 2nd one is important, this is your single-double-triple spacing icon. Select the first one. The next one after that helps to fine tune that a little bit. Click the two arrows point towards each other until the spacing doesn't get any smaller. Make sure that you select New documents based on this template, then click OK. If you have any further questions, let me know and I can assist further. Also, if you could please give this solution a rating of fixya, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks and God bless!

Can I install Quickverse 7.0 on Windows 7?

Locate the setup file for QuickVerse. Right click on the file and choose 'Properties'. On the 'Compatability' tab, click the check box next to 'Run this program in compatibility mode for:' and choose 'Windows XP Service Pack 3'.

After QuickVerse is installed, you may have to perform the above steps for the application file as well.

1. You can make an ISO image of the CD using programs MagicISO, ultraiso, PowerISO & many other imaging programs. You can then view the image file using a virtual drive.

This is concerning Quick Verse 7

32 bit computing vs 64 bit computing is more then just a patch. It is a completely different hardware architecture.
These are 2 completely different computers and operating systems.

Here's the simplest article I could find that describes the difference

I tried the following and it works. I had several bad installs and this works. My guess is that the first steps are not necessary, but they won't hurt.

1. Insert the first CD and explore to find the autorun file. Right click and choose properties, and run it in compatability mode with Windows 98.

2. Right click again on the autorun file and choose to run it as administrator.

3. Follow all the regular steps for installation.

4. On the new shortcut, right click and choose properties, run in compatability mode with Windows 98.

5. Finally, right click on the shortcut icon and choose to run the file as administrator.

Good luck. It is a wonderful software I have had for ten years and used on a half dozen computers.

I had the same problem [Quickverse 7 on a Vista OS] but my fix was a little longer. On my right click on the icon I didn't get a Compaibility tab. I went down to "properties" then in properties the tab for compatibility shows up. Click on "Run this program as an administrator." This worked fine for me. And this site rocks with so much great information - thanks everyone for your input and for sharing!
