Is this a brand new motherboard?
do you have onboard graphics or a card?
without testing i couldnt say for sure but it sounds like you are not getting power to your graphics on motherboard.
this is usally a common issue for asus motherboards. not easy to fix.
if your motherboard is new i suggest a replacement from the seller.

Dont have the install disk

Hello here is the abit homepage:

http://abit.ws/page/mi/download/download_driver.php@pFUN_KEY=9000&pTITLE_IMG=_2Fdownload_2Fimages_2Fdownload.html

Try to remove the cmos battery, and insert it again.
This will reset the bios to factory defaults.

You will need to setup the whole bios, date, clock, boot settings when the job is done.

But the power supply could also be failing, or a ram module.

Good luck

Does the motherboard accept 1gig high definition ram chips

The Abit IS7 motherboard only supports DDR RAM. So if you're thinking of upgrading, do not purchase DDR2 or DDR3, because your motherboard will only support DDR memory, at a maximum of 4GB.

My computer wont show anything on the monitor though the cpu fans are running..and there's no disk activity until i unplug the ide cable...

Remove the memory from the slot near to the fan and place it to the other slot then on the system. If it doesn't come up then remove the cmos jumper and clear the cmos battery. I guess it should work like that.

Hi! I have a pc with abit is7-e2 motherboard.. And when i start the pc a red led turns on the board... There is no picture on the screen. I already checked the video card but its working

Just how did you check the video card if you get no image on the screen?
Try another monitor with your computer. If you still get no image, then it's your video card or another component.
If your computer will not pass the POST (power on self test) then you will not get any video output.
Culprits can be the hard drive, the CD, the memory, the motherboard, or the CPU. I would disconnect everything but the CPU, memory, and video and try to start it to narrow the problem. But first, try another monitor.
I've even seen a bad power supply that seems to work keep the video from working.

Hey guys would you be so kind to try to help me out? a friend brought me a pc with an abit IS7 motherboard it can't boot instead, all fans start working then a red light, 3 short peeps and it stops. What...

The beeps might indicate the problem with RAM. Try plugging out the RAM modules and insert them back in one by one in different slots and then check.
