I have a windows xp home ed and while using pc the power went off and now th pc cannot get past the safe mode screen, i have been told that maybe the needle in the tower is stuck, would appreciate any suggestions thanks
Needle in the tower? Wow! Who told you that? Geek Squad.
OK in all seriousness this is what I want you to do.
Press F8 as the computer boots up.
Choose "Safe Mode with Command Prompt"
Let me know if you're able to get that far and then we'll proceed from there.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
