My machine will just stop after the adgitate cycle.
Once it is done adgitating the machine stops. It will not continue thru the cycles. There is a sound coming from the knob as if it is trying but it just won't click over.
Mine started as the same problem, but now it just stopped after the wash cycle and now I cannot get it to do anything. When I pull the knob on, it just makes a weird buzzy/clicky sound. I replaced the timer in the machine and it is still doing the stopping. I did notice that the lid switch is goofy. But I put put a screwdriver into the hole for the switch and it works ok. It's just after the adgitate. do you still think it could be the switch?I replaced the timer in the machine and it is still doing the stopping. I did notice that the lid switch is goofy. What is the model and model number of the unit? It could be the transmission or the coupling between the motor and transmission. On some models it can even be the lid switch
drainage blocked {water is detected as taking too long to drain so motor wont spin}
or brushes on the drive motor are worn {will adgitate but not spin as error is detected or just not a good contact}
they are easily replaced out for new ones
If the drain motor filter is cleared out and still not working then you are going to need to replace the motor in your front loading washer I had lightening strike near my home once and although it would still adgitate it would not spin properly or even adgitate properly After having service men come out a number of times I ended up replacing almost every part including the motor which finally fixed the problem
Yes, First pop the lid up with a flathead screwdriver. You'll see two clips between the body and the lid panel. Once you get the lid up take the tub cover off. It just snaps on to the tub. There is a plasctic cap on the top of the adgitator that covres ther adgitator bolt. Remove it and remove the bolt, and take off the adgitator. This will expose the 6 bolts that hold the basket on. Remove them and the basket will come off, and you can get to anything in the tub.
keep in mind K.I.S.S. KEEP IT SIMPLE SIMPLE most of the time its going to be a simple switch u have a door switch that makes when u close the door there is an arm in the door that pushes this switch in sometimes the wires come off or that little arm breaks or that lil switch goes out take the wires off and check for continuity thru the switch or if the lil arm is broke push it in with a screwdriver and put it on spin cycle and see if it runs if the switch has continuity thru it when its pushed in u probably have a bad adgitator motor but more than likely its gonna have something to do with that switch
Not a gear, Four peices of plastic. They are about $2 and really easy to replace. Take the cover off of the top of the adgitator with a flathead screwdriver, and there will be a bolt underneath it. Take the adgitator off, and seperate the two halves. There are four pieces of plastic known as dogears because of their shape. Replace those and it will work
I had the same problem as most of you dosnt spin right or adgitate especially with heaver loads.
Theres a coupler which acts like a universal joint on a car. Its made of plastic and the plastic numbs that lock it in break off. I changed my coupler and that was 2 years ago and havent had any problems since.
Nothing else needs to be removed. place the agitator on the floor, step on the sides of the bottom of the agitator, grab the top section of the agitator and pull, the sections will separate. hope this helps.
