Leadsinger karaoke mic works but no sound

I think it's the 3700 model. Everything works fine except there's no sound from the main mic, the sub mic or the TV (no background music, no voice amplification.) The volume levels are high enough, and it's not the TV.. the problem seems to be wiring in the main mic. I live in LA and can't even find a repair shop. No receipt to return it or use warranty. I already bought a replacement system (ET-18000) but may return it and pay restocking fee if I can get the Leadsinger to work again. Thanks!

SOURCE: LS 3700 Leadsinger Microphone

We had the same problem just this weekend. However, we investigated it ourselves and discovered that you can take the microphone apart by unscrewing the two small screws inside the mic, under the music chips. Once the screws are out pry the two halves apart very carefully. Once we were inside, we discovered that the soundcard was loose and all we had to do is plug the sound card back in. Close 'er up and start up the show. Good Luck!

SOURCE: downloading

you could have downloaded a different format. try to read the manual of your karaoke, look what kind of format used, then download the same format.

SOURCE: 2-second delay with Magic Sing

i bought et18k. just the same as yours.its 2 days old and has the same problem. the technical assistant says that its because of the digital setting that new tvs have. there are two ways to solve this though:

1. connect the video (yellow plug) to the tv. and the other two plugs (yellow and white) to the stereo. when i say stereo, its not the dvd home theater system that you have but a separate one. if you connect it to the home theater that you have, it'll just sound the same, you still have the delay.

2. connect the magic sing to the older tvs hangin out. and you'll get no problem at all.

**TVs such as sony, samsung, philips, sharp and all plasma tvs including other newly designed tvs will have the delay since they all share the HDMI thingy that causes sh*t.

Ac adaptor

I actually was able to go to leadsinger's website: karaokesolution.com they had a replacement adapter for sale it was $9.95 plus a few bucks shipping which I thought was a GREAT DEAL! ***BUT****when it arrived, it was white, and DID NOT WORK WITH MY LS-3700. I eventually bought another system on ebay both LS-3700 mics worked with the black originally included adapter, and neither worked with the white one I purchased. The black one is an 8V and the white one a 9V so I think that is the problem. They both had the same polarity and mA limits. I tried a universal adapter but it had 7.5V or 10V to choose between and neither setting worked....I found an 8.5V adapter at a thrift store and gave it a try (((if you do this you MUST MAKE SURE THE POLARITY IS CORRECT OR YOU WILL FRY YOUR DEVICE AS SOON AS IT IS PLUGGED IN--it will smell like burning wires*)))

The Polarity is looks like this: [-] C-- [+] {a negative symbol circled a half circle around a dot opening faces the positive symbol circled and there is a line from the half circle to the positive symbol} Picture a dot in the middle of the C.

MAIN SOLLUTIONS:

1. GO ON EBAY FIND SEARCH "LEADSINGER MIC" and hope for a cheap replacement
OR
2. Find an AC adapter that is 8V-8.5V that fits and has a POSITIVE POLARITY -- Circle open to the positive symbol with a line to it.

Cable conexion is broken

I removed the cable from microphone circuit board  and shortened cable by 20 cm. to eliminate damaged wires, stripped the individual wires and soldered the pins to the new wire ends and reassembled.  Used black heat shrink tubing  [10mm dia.] to reinforce cable end at mic to prevent future damage from careless handling.

Document wire colours to pins before disassembly

Red                   Audio L
White                 Audio R
Blue                   DC Power
Shield [ground]     Ground
Yellow                 Video

Karaoke microphone and wireless mic

Cord rolling might generally cause damage to the internal wiring.the only possible repair option is change the wire inside.A suggestion is to try not to wrap the cord tightly with the microphone.fold it separately and use a band to hold it.

Leadsinger sub mic, modle LS 3222. Green lite flashing but no sound. any help?

We had this problem too. Can you perform any functions with the duet mic? We couldn't, just had the light flashing. Turns out the light is supposed to flash (never is solid). Check the connections to the sub mic pack in the back of the main mic. Ours was loose. Once that was plugged in properly, we turned everything off and started again. All was fine.

Good luck.

Magic-Sing EG-18000 works, no sound

look and see if the RF light is coming on, if it is not then the transmitter (mic) is not on the same frequency as the receiver.

No sound

I removed the cover on the back (the access to musicartridges) I also removed wireless receiver unit (approx 2" black plastic piece) pull straight up to remove. after removing the receiver you'll see two screws, remove them, unscrew the mic head, pry the body apart (fingernails). You will see two circuit boards, the smaller one became disconnected. The board should reconnect easily, the outlet looks almost like the wireless receiver outlet you removed earlier. if it does not slide in easily DON"T force it, you may be trying to install into receiver outlet ( They look the same), The correct outlet is above (towards mic head) the four outlets to the music cartridges. CAREFUL NOT TO BEND PINS same with the wireless receiver.
